381. I think the Jackie Chan movie I just tried to watch is not for me.

Which movie was that? I think he's a hoot, myself. Funny guy, IMO.

Something about a key and a pile of gold. He takes two women somewhere to look for it (I guess).

386. I think reyn and Red Green are good buddies.

387. I think I've spotted a trend in old-time westerns and Civil War films, an example being, Band of Angels, starring Clark Gable (I have seen this in a number of them). When the question of slavery gets mentioned, the lead actor is given to say that the south, if left alone, would have done away with the practice on its own, that the north had no business meddling. By Gable's (his character's) estimation, it would have taken an additional century, but the bloodshed of a civil war could have been avoided. Well, if they had agreed to work on an end to slavery at the time, they might also have avoided the killing. To wait that additional century would have meant more generations being born and and dying under slavery. By what authority could they have been made to submit?

388. I think I am weary of the seeming willful ignorance one confronts in all aspects of life.

389. I think it's wonderful that my son and I are close once again, after a several year estrangement. Our past issues seem so meaningless now.

390. I think I would like to meet such as Joan Baez, Pete Seger, Peter Paul and Mary, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Donovan, and all the other peace activist singers, all in a group, just to thank them and then be on our seperate ways.

I think if you did, you should also thank them for me (please) and then you should also share some of your unpublished lyrics with them Edgar- I think they'd like your style.

I think aidan was spot on with that idea.

I think I'm up way too late, but still reading a2k. Some mighty good people hang out here.

I think I'm disappointed that Edgar didn't decide to goof off today.

Hey Edgar, the oldies on a2k need to use as much time on fun and enjoying life as we can, considering that we are on the running out of time part of life.

I think Edgar and his wife need to party more.

I think I'm really happy that Edgar and his son have regained their closeness.

I plan to get away from this job one day, and then look for opportunities to live more. It's hard to leave the only job I ever held longer than a year, and I have love and respect at that place, more so than any other time in my life.

Edgar, it doesn't get much better than that. You are a lucky man to have both love and respect. Too bad there aren't more people who give those things their due, instead of the bottom line and stock options.

I could use some of that, too.

391. I think I need to plant tomatoes somewhere. Got to build a box for them out of the sweet little doggie's reach.

392. I think I ought to clean up the back yard one of these days.

393. I think an incident, such as today's shooting of thirty two people in Virginia, underscores the fact that in many ways we have not evolved higher than the other animals.

394. I think Phil Spector may not beat the murder charge. Same thing I thought about Robert Blake (and was wrong).

395. I think the only way to end the Iraq War is to get the rest of the Republicans out of office.

Well Edgar, being a year older today doesn't seem to feel any different. My wife says I still look like I'm in my 40s! She's a sweetheart. Very Happy

As a matter of fact, it seems not all that long ago that I was in my 20s.

396. I think reyn's trying to get older than me, but that will never happen.

397. I think it unfortunate that Stephen Foster used so much of the language of his time, as pertaining to race. His songs are beautiful, and from what I know, he was no racist. I read a tale, in which a black man lay dying; his friend, Stephen Foster came to say good-bye. The old gentleman asked him if he had written a song for him as promised. Foster improvised Old Black Joe on the spot. Oh, well. _ sigh_

398. I think America's gun culture has some bitter lessons to learn.

399. I think Joan Lee's passing is a real tragedy for the liberals of the world.

400. I think there is much to be grateful for in this world. But, also, much to make one want to cry. All we can do is keep on doing our best and hope it works out in the end.
