Suddenly People Get It?

I just saw a news bleep on CNN saying that the execution of Saddam is now shown to be an act of pure revenge.

WELL NO ****!!!!!!

He reaped what he sowed and the world is less one dickhead but this was a foregone conclusion the minute bush took office, and the people who hated Saddam for both legitimate and non legitimate reasons have extracted their revenge. That was the mission.

wise up.

Hanging is mild compared to other penalties doled out in the Moslem part of the world. They still practice whipping. beheading, stoning, chopping off of body parts, torture and suicide bombing. Trying to compare then to a civilized western culture {I used the term civilized loosely and with tongue in cheek } Is meaningless.

It takes a particularly inept group of people...working with equally particularly inept people...

....to fuk up an execution as badly as these a$$holes fuked this one up.

You really gotta put a lot of effort into making someone like Saddam look relatively dignified and courageous...perhaps even an object of some minor pity.

This fiasco apparently will never have a single decent moment.

But what can one expect. It was instigated by a moron.

Saddam wanted to face a firing squad but in the Arab world, or so I've heard, hanging is a shameful way to be excecuted.
As for Bush wanting this, it is my understanding that the Bush admin asked that Saddam not be put to death. I wish he had stood trial for all of the atrocities he committed. there was a documentary last night that showed how Saddam had his fighters & helicoptors fly over many villages & drop sarin & other chemical bombs & drums of poisons over these villages. Photos were shown of adults & kids alike looking like something out of a horror movie. One of saddams favorite ways to kill was to put a person, feet first, into a vat of acid. Now we have people that believe that saddam wasn'r shown the respect he deserved while getting ready to meet allah? give me a break!

I am finding it hard to swallow that anyone would feel sympathy towards Saddam in any fashion.

There are some, as you well know, that would praise satan himself if it meant they could jab Bush.

Good to see you, too, Au.

Back for a while!

Broke my shoulder week before last...and have some free time to visit with old friends.

I am enjoying my stay.

I see McG and Lone Star Madam have trouble with people who can sympathize with other people's plight…no matter the circumstances.

Interesting!

Nonsense Frank, I specifically mentioned Saddam, not "other people". He deserves no sympathy and no respect. None. Zero. Nada. Zilch.

I think that when most people say they want justice, what they really mean is that they want revenge.

I had a huge problem with Hitler & Mussolinni too, call me crazy, but I don't think they were very nice people.
