His chain smoking, his race, or his name, Barak Hussein Obama?
Each of those are a negative in some circles.
Since I'm a smoker, I understand that habit, my family looks like the UN, so his race isn't a problem, now that name, oooh, I might have a peoblem with that.

An objective observer would place his political beliefs ahead of anything you listed.
personally I think the largest thorn in his side will be a bunch of vitirolic red neck crackers, mostly from Texas and the Deep South.
Is he from Texas? If not... he has my vote.

actually I have been to Texas and find it to be a wonderful state. It's just the majority of people living there that's the problem.
what does his name have to do with anything? he is a christian (though i don't care what religion anyone is), born and raised in the u.s. of a. and anyone with 2 brain cells will not judge anyone else just by his name. he didn't choose it for himself. shrug, who really cares.

Honestly, i didn't know his middle name.
To me it sounds like his original family name was a Moslem name.

My point about asking ahy the poster brought it up is because he/she said it doesn't make any difference, if it doesn't, then why talk about it?

yes he is (Kicky's right: YOU brought it up). that's all. his father was from Kenya. There are some Muslims (6%), but mostly protestants (close to 40%) and catholics (around 30%). His father and mother both are protestants, as far as i remember. so his name is nothing more than a name. not every Hussein is a Muslim and/or terrorist.
