Should women be drafted as well?
I believe they should be, & not only drafted, but put on front lines. Women want equal treatment, & should have that, soooo, lets have equal treatment.

For Mexica, in case he/she forgot what the original question was.
Nothing there about morals, only equal treatment.

Certainly. Or have you forgotten that under the U.S. model of chattel slavery, slaves were paid in clothing, food, and shelter?

Should women be drafted if there is another draft?

Should women also be forced by the state against their will to kill and die?

Of course not, silly. Rolling Eyes

For LoneStarMadam, in case she forgot my response.

You did not address the original question. Of course, I don't believe that you will either, no big deal, because i believe that by your answer, you do not believe in equal treatment, unless it suits you.

Yes I did.

Your "beliefs," much like your rants, are not germane to the initial topic of this thread, nor any other topics that are an offshoot of the topic. Consequently, they are of little interest to me

Ad hominem attacks may do much to put you at ease, but they do nothing to forward anything of merit you might have to say.

Attacks? Of whom? That tells me that all you're doing is angling, after that, NOW, there is no further comment required of you.

There should be a draft of both sexes. Everyone over the age 18 to 40 years of age. Not to make our military stronger but to make the common people and the uncommon people think about what war does to their husbands, wives, and children. No exceptions for collage or business or any kind of jobs. If everyone had to face the loss of loved ones they might think harder about the true cost of war and politicians like Bush and Cheney would face the true cost of lying to the public.

A fantastic post, except the part abpout the lying, we'll be finding that out as soon as the Dems get their investigations &"I" hearings going, even though they say they won't be doing an impeachment, yeah, right, & I'm Betty Boop. Unless you have proof that they lied....do you?

Regarding the draft. If and when there is a national emergency and a shortage of people in the Armed forces a draft is inorder. However, when the president, as this one did decides to start a war of choice my response is the hell with him. Put a uniform on him and his neocon followers and let them go to fight it.

I'm all for equality in the draft. I would protest and fight just as hard to keep men from having to go to war as I would to prevent women from doing so.

What war that we have been involved in do you agree with?
You'd rather wait for an emergency & then draft, I see.
Why would you want all Americans that you don't agree with to fight & maybe die?

LSM. I will not debate with you about Bushes lying. Goggle (BUSH WMD) and choose which article you want to disbelieve. I notice you discard some articles that you believe too liberal. You should read them all both liberal and conserative to git a real feeling for the truth rather than what you wish it to be.

LSM, I will not debate you on Bushs lying
There were WMDs, of courese one must read everything to find the truth.
But, say Bush was lying, does that mean that Bill Clinton, his SoD, the CIA, many, many others were lying as well?
Why not debate? If you're sure of your truth, then amuse me.
You don't believe that The Guardian & the Democrat Underground are liberal? Shocked

WW2 was a war that for the sake of mankind had to be fought. And Korea [my war] was fought against an aggressor and to preserve a sovereign nation as was IRAQ l.

I should point out that prior to about one year prior to WW2 there was no draft. It was only instituted when needed.

I would rather have those who started the unnecessary and unjustified war of choice fight it rather than America's treasure, it's young fight and die for no reason.
