@Tai Chi,
Fantastic effort! Deep red or maroon would be great. A deep green would be pretty too but it wouldn't stand out as much in the woods.

@Tai Chi,
WOW!!

Looking amazing!

To me the door screams for red but I'm in Buckeye country and see a lot of gray and red combinations.

Love Teagan's visitor, he's gorgeous.

@Tai Chi,
Amazed at your 'hide-out', will you get snowed in during winter time cut off from the outside world Tai Chi?

Hello everyone! Drive-by posting again. Thanks for all your comments. (I'm on a paved and snow-ploughed road Dutchy -- won't be snowed in hopefully.)

Here's the latest outside photo with all the trim and soffits done:

The Mr. figured out a streamlined way to do the transition point between the gable ends and the straight sides (instead of drop boxes) called a lookout:

We'll be starting to finish the inside soon (most of the wiring's done).

Our grand cat may be going home soon but for the moment she knows where to hang out:

@Tai Chi,
I can't believe this is your garage - it's beautiful and looks so inviting; it's
almost too pretty for just a garage. Convert it to a guest house and we all take turns and come to visit Laughing

@Izzie,
Teagan thanks you for the scritches. She is still our mighty hunter -- cornered a tree frog this morning. We think it came in on the Mr.'s pant leg.

She knows something is up. She heads home tomorrow along with some of younger son's furniture. I don't get to go because I am starting a job! (Very good news!)

We did the deer dodge off island this morning to run some major errands. Saw many deer AND a coyote. I heard what must have been a coyote convention the morning after the full moon when it was still dark out. Must remember to take the bear spray to the privy with me (eek!)

@Tai Chi,
that looks great

I like how the rear light of the car is an accent.

Are the colour swatches staying? they look good.

Nifty borrowed drywall lifting thingy came in handy for doing the ceiling with mahogany plywood (sustainably grown apparently).

@Tai Chi,
"Must remember to take the bear spray to the privy with me (eek!) "

that kinda puts it in perspective.

I think I'd prolly hafta keep a shotgun in the outhouse if it was me.

I wouldn't trade my coyote serenades for anything. makes me feel the presence of my dominion...

@Tai Chi,
That is a very impressive shed, Tai. A person could live in it!
Excellent work!

Congratulations on getting a job. I imagine there wouldn't be all that many job opportunities in your neck of the woods. Is it OK to ask what it is?

I think you're both going to miss Teagan when she's gone. Any plans to acquire a pet of your own?

Before I get kicked off for "flooding" -- here's our handy dandy wood box that can be rolled to the front door and filled from a wheelbarrow on the porch. Keeps the floor clean and there's a plastic boot tray in the bottom in case the wood is wet/snowy.
