K, folks. Friday is a definite. I will not be able to make it, sorry. It's just as well that I'm on the closing shift because I will take full advantage of the opportunity to sleep late. Have fun!
disappointed.......Terry Doo
Ah, back online after the worst computer crash I've ever had.
I can't make it for the entire evening, but I will be there early and at least get to meet as many as possible and visit with old friends as much as possible--I'll need to leave by 7:00 P.M.
Luckily, I only live two and a half to three hours from Boston, so maybe we can do this again when I have time to stay and really yak.
I'll see you all on Friday, barring the very real possiblity of getting hopelessly lost somewhere in Boston.
7:00! hmmmm, how ever will I get there before 7:00 (plotting....)
Soz, I remember those days, although my kids are now 27 and 30. Most committees and boards of directors do good work, but having to put up with the politics and egos can take much of the fun away from the comaraderie and detract from the satisfaction all the hard work. Still, it is usually worth the hassle and lack of credit when you know that the results will make a difference.
You are such a good mommy. I hope you get some rest.
has anyone notified siobhan yet....? I'll do dat...
Hi folks,
All of a sudden I've got some sort of 'summer cold'. I'm feeling miserable and even left work early tonight. I KNOW I won't work tomorrow and Friday is now iffy. I really DO want to see you all
but I'm gonna have to see how I feel.... :-(
so, when are we meeting? I thought it was at 7. I can be there sooner. Or is it 6? I'll be there at whatever time, I think 6. Can't wait, and Diane.............please don't get lost in Boston.
James James Morrison Morrison ........................
I believe the official meeting time is 6 although I bet most won't show until 7.
On Friday, I'll make reserve a table for 12 in the name of "Abel" for 6:30 PM. Or is that too late? Should it be for 6 or 6:15 PM?
"Abel". Cute! (Took me a minute.)
Thanks for the sympathy, all! The actual committee meeting was last night, criticizy guy was criticizing, president got in his face and said "sozobe is doing an excellent job and I have every confidence in her. Enough." Yay! Made me feel better.
Wish I could be there with you! Best friend lives in Boston and it's high time I visited her, so may actually be in the vicinity this fall or so. We're working on it.
All right sozobe!!!! It'd be good to meet you if you come to town!
Since I really dont have much else to do
I could be there at 6....just a quick train ride for me really...Is it right in the Prudential? Someone wanna tell me like in what vicinity to Dick's it is?
Will be nice to see ya'll...and hope to see jjorge...feel better quick!
Abel....thats hysterical
quinn, it's somewhat across from the Prue, on Boylston St. if I recall correctly. The address is somewhere on this thread. Hmm.

Well, it's somewhat near Copley Square. I'd recommend heading to any parking garage in the area (there are several), or taking the T to Copley Square or maybe the Hines Convention Center stop and walking (depends on the weather).
Oh yeah, the weather:

We've had rain for weeks but there are occasional nice days.
Portions are enormous. I ain't kiddin'. Bring a large appetite. Be prepared to either share food or bring some home. Prices are reasonably inexpensive (salads and soups about $5, pastas around $10 when you buy for one, other entrées go no higher than $18). If there are 6 of us, we can go family style and everything's included for $20 each plus 18 percent gratuity. That includes salads, appetizers, entrées and desserts, all to share. Drinks aren't included. They only list nonalcoholic stuff on the website, but there's wine and stuff, a full bar if I recall correctly (I've mainly been to the one in Brookline but have been to this one, but it was a few years ago). Going vegetarian is possible (pastas).
Oh yeah, and we might win free dinners (drinks, tax and tip aren't included). Mr. Jespah and I have actually won this so it is possible.

Party for 12 under the name "Abel"
Be there. Aloha.
I can't make it so I made a reservation for a party of -1 under the name "Know".
Quinn!!! Can you come early? I would love to see you again. How I hope more of the group can make it a little early. It will be good just to get to meet those of you I've never seen. Maybe this summer we can do it again.
awe fer crying out loud! Friday night: the a2k meet, my housemate's engagement party, one of my fav bands from GA is playing at the Paradise....... and the kitty needs to be shot at 9:30 pm........
