The Sexual Intelligence Test
contained in Conrad and Milburn's new book, Sexual Intelligence, is a scientifically validated test that significantly predicts the level of an individual's sexual satisfaction and sexual dysfunction. Below is a small sample of items from the complete test that is also predictive of satisfaction and dysfunction. Select the one answer that you feel best reflects your feelings or beliefs for each question by clicking on the button next to the answer you want. At the bottom of this page, click on the "See My Score" button to see how you did, on a scale ranging from 0-100.

Well, the satisfied look on my partner's face is all I need, but I'll take the
test anyways. Let you know, if I am scientifically proved as well Laughing

Only by the way the questions are stated, I can say the test is only intended for Americans.

It would surprise me if the results were alike with Europeans..

Yes, I noticed that too, Francis.
The most one can have sex on this test is 4 x a week. Laughing

Dys, I think 11 is well above average, considering your age -
or is Diane's avatar telling us something?

OK, here's a weird question (in the test):

Quote:
6. When you are sexually aroused, how aware are you of whether you are feeling a mostly physical urge as opposed to, say, feelings of affection or a need to be close?

1) I never really distinguish between physical and emotional urges
2) sometimes I'm aware of what feels like a purely physical urge to have sex
3) sometimes I'm aware that I want to be emotionally close more than I'm physically aroused
4) when I'm aroused, it is always a combination of physical and emotional urges

Ehm.. speaking for myself: yes for 2) and yes for 3). Duh.

But you cant choose both. You can only be one type. That leaves only the clueless option (#1) or the muddled one (#4). But thats just wrong too - it is not "always a combination" - it is sometimes the one thing, sometimes the other (and sometimes both).

I mean, hello.

I dunno, thing seems to be kind of haplessly worded...

Weirdly worded, true, I agree with nimh's example and there were others.
And, as CJ pointed out, oddly hesitant in it's idea of hangup free sex.
The test is directed to people with no apparent history and no apparent future.

When I punched the "Get results" button all I got was a picture of a bunch of fleeing animals.

What does that mean?

It means, gustav, that they recognized your affinity for animals.

I think this test is a total load of horsesh!t....

First off, where do they come up the name sexual "intelligence"?

I took that to mean it was going to be a test regarding how knowledgeable you were about matters sexual.

Like Nimh, there where several questions I would have liked to have answered 2 ways, including the one he mentioned.

Some questions, like how often do you have sex.....the choices go directly from once or twice a month to once or twice a week.....what? there's no inbetween? What about if one week you have sex 4 or 5 times, and then go a couple weeks before having sex again? Not only aging can be a culprit on declining sexual activity, but health problems, travel etc.

Also, I dislike the concept that one must be having sex often to be enjoying it, or are "intelligent" about it.

Frankly cj and francis, I resent the implication that this test is geared toward Americans. Like it's just another thing people from Europe are better at.
It's a stupid test for both Americans AND Europeans.

Might be, chai, but after reading the "breast feeding objection thread"
of Reyn, I just have to assume that mainstream America is more puritan
than any other nation there is.

There are exceptions of course, not doubt, but in general the notion
stands: darkened room, once a month, a chore to fulfill, glad when it's
over.

I would think that much of the Arab world would be an exception, CJ.

FWIW, the image Im getting is of Americans - ok, American girls - as assertively sexual.

Friend of my sis went to the States to teach at a university - young guy he was, himself barely out of university - having a gf at home, he was kinda taken aback at how brash the girls were in approaching him. Take no prisoners. He wasnt used to that!

Only girls Ive kissed here in Budapest were American - they seem to be pretty straightforward about getting what they want, they dont wait for you to make a first move or something.

All of which is good in my book Razz

Chai, I noticed that you always resent any comment from "some" Europeans.

It's human indeed that one take advantage of the best sides of his civilisation.

I for one, do not belittle the genie of the Americans and I must add that I like a lot of them.

In addition, as I spent much time in the United States, I can tell about many experiences that are not geographically limited.

As I travel around the world, I can compare with what happens in other places.

Telling that average Americans are afflicted by the "church lady's syndrom" is not, in my view, considering that they are worse than Europeans. It's only acknowledging a fact.

But I'm not expecting you accept my view. I do remember that even learned people like George, do have difficulties in accepting that saying "I love you" in Europe is not a commitment to life.

It goes the same way about many other topics. It's only the result of a different evolution.

I've been upset, sometimes, by the prejudices Americans have about the French. But I know from where it comes. The US soldiers that came to Europe to free us returned home with notions that were those of WWII.

Many Americans still think the same after all these years. But Europe is not the same anymore.

In order to give you an idea where the difference resides, take a look on this book I have at home for years : 112 gripes about the French
