Yep, famous for burgers and baked potatoes. We sat at the curve of the bar, directly facing the TV, for a great view of the game. Not sure about the size of the bathrooms - I'll take your word for it.

I sat at the bar one night for a bit, but spent most of my time in the other section, with the booths. We had the same booth all three times we were there. (The one closest to the kitchen) I liked that area because I got to hassle the waitresses as they scurried to and fro.

And, you, as far as not being familiar with the size of the bathrooms can lead me to several conclusions.

A.) You do not take your beer drinking seriously enough.

B.) Your bladder is the stuff of legend.

I've been looking for the pizza place between there and the river that I spent a few drunken evenings at, but haven't been able to find it.

I'll keep looking. It seems to me that is was down by a flea market area. I remember staggering through an open courtyard where merchants were breaking down their stands for the day.

I don't keep track of how, as a group, we have done each week. But flipping back through the scoresheets, it appears WeeK #14 was one of the worst.

JPB and Fbaeser ended up at 10-6. The high scoring game last night favored JPB in the tiebreaker. She wins the week. Well done and quite a turnaround from Week #13.

JPB becomes the 12th different winner in 14 weeks of play. That is pretty amazing!

Ms Cowdoc made her debut here at 9-7 as did Tico. Osso, Liontamer, Region, George, JPinMilw and Chiso broke even at 8-8. Sublime missed a game but in games picked in he finished at 8-7.

Pantalones went 7-9, followed by Johnboy, Cowdoc, Cjhsa and Jespah at 6-10. And then their was Panzade at 5-11. I hope that, when point spreads are taken into account he did better.

The best ESPN guy matched JPB and Fbaezer at 10-6. The worst wound up like a lot of us at 8-8.

Child of Light and Kickycan didn't play this week. I hope they can join us next week.

And the standings through 14 Weeks:

1) Chiso (124-68 for the season) (.645 for the season) hangs on to 1st
place ) (1st last week)
2) Kickycan (68-38) (,642) didn't play and benefitted from taking a rough
week off (3rd)
3) Cowdoc (131-77) (.629) got beaten up a bit (2nd)
*) Best ESPN Picker (127-80) (.613) (4th)
4) JPinMilw (125-84) (.600) (5th)
5) Child (115-77) (.599) (8th) Gaining by missing this tough week
6) Sublime (106-71) (.598) (4th)
7) Region (123-85) (.591) (5th)
7) Pantalones (123-85) (.591) (6th)
9) Liontamer (104-74) (.584) (10th)
10) Osso (120-88) (.576) (11th)
*) Ms Cowdoc (9-7) (.562)
11) JPB (113-92) (.551) (13th)
*) Worst ESPN Picker (113-94) (.545) (14th) ESPN making a move
12) Johnboy (113-95) (.543) (12th)
13) George (112-96) (.538) (14th)
13) Fbaezer (112-96) (.538) (16th)
13) Tico (112-96) (.538) (15th)
16) Panzade (34-30) (.531) (6th) What a tumble.
17) Jespah (102-106) (.490) (17th)
18) Cjhsa (47-58) (.448) (18th)

BTW, I show there as having been 208 games so far this season. ESPN lists the total as being 207. So, many of us may be off by one win or one loss. I may try to find where I went awry. Or maybe I won't.

(BTW: Johnboy is right and ESPN is wrong. There have indeed been 208 games played in the NFL this season; not the 207 reported in the "experts' picks" section of ESPN NFL. They misplaced a game in Week #13. Pencil and paper and highlighters triumph!.
Unfortunately, that means their best guy got ever so slighly better but their worst guy did fall down into a tie with me.)

I have been working hard the last day or so trying to buy a piece of property that is pretty crucial to my West Main St project here in Cville. Lots of phones calls and emails. But the last one said the final draft was ready to be picked up and signed off on. I drove 5 blocks, picked it up, and said that, unless I got hit by a bus on the way back, we would have a done deal in 15 minutes with the seller.
Guess what? I was hit by a bus. I was at the stop light with a City bus behind me. The bus got hit from the back and the bus tapped me. As it turned out, I know both the bus driver and the first cop who arrived. There was no damage to the van and I assured them that I was not going to claim whiplash - so I was sent on my way.
