I thought my picks last week were excellent.
It's just that those d@mn football teams messed them up.
Sheesh!

Oh, well.
Here we go again...

Pittsburgh (Backup QB Derek Anderson vs. Steelers defense)
Atlanta (Just like the bad old days for the Bucs)
Philadelphia (Iggles feeling confident after beating Carolina)
Carolina (Automatic pick)
Indianapolis (Jags run offense is good, Colts run defense is poor, but...)
New England (Automatic pick)
Detroit (Hey, why not?)
Baltimore (I still can't believe they lost to Cincy)
Houston (Tough to get up for Houston after upsetting the Colts)
Cincinnati (See Rudi run)
Seattle (They can't possibly lose to the Cards, can they?)
San Francisco (Green Bay is astray)
San Diego (LaDainian Tomlinson, 'nuff sed)
Buffalo (Automatic pick)
Dallas (Romo to Whitten)
Chicago (The Rams are undisciplined) -- 33

JPB. I never said you were pathetic. This bubba would never say someone was pathetic (at least not on this thread). The phrase was "...pathetically limped in..." There is a difference. At least, I think there is a different nuance.

excellent back-peddling, my man...

Well, the "Rule" that all games must be picked before the start of the first game is getting tossed because of the Thurday night games on the NFL channel (last week, by the way, the Thursday game drew something like 4 million viewers compared to 13 million for a Sunday game on Fox).

So I am imploring Kicky and Child and Panzade and Chiso to post picks in the rest of the schedule. Thanks.

(BTW. the Redskins released the place kicker (Novak) who went to high school just up the road from me. His field goal accuracy was not too great and his kickoffs didn't go too far. But back in Week #9, on his second chance, he did kick the field goal that beat the Cowboys. Even if he never gets picked up by another team, he did have his 15 seconds of fame).

Kicky and Child of Light are the two pickers yet to be heard from with 15 minutes to go.

BTW I am changing my pick in the New Orleans vs Dallas game from the Saints to the Cowboys.

17 players in for Week #14.

Osso and Region are in agreement with each other in every game and with the majority of us in every game. They end up with no Deviant points. Johnboy, Sublime and Chiso have Deviant points in the single digits.
At the other extreme are Jespah, JPB and Ms Cowdoc way up there in the 60's.

I discovered that my highlighters, the ones that I use to keep track of things, are not going to make it through the season. The blue one, the one I use in the Deviant thing to record where the majority of us are, is pretty much gone. The red one used for recording wrong picks is also going dry. And it has had a workout today.

Through the Thursday game and the ones today, the best score is 6-4 by JPinMilw, JPB, Region and Osso, Ms Cowdoc and Chiso.

Kvetch...

I wish I'd been more deviant..

I'm also losing my memory after all these weeks - have to go see what teams I picked.
