When I said "Whew, another close one", I was referring to Grammatica's last second field gold to beat the Giants. But: it also fits this weeks picks, to me. Looks like a lot of games where I could just as well pick one team as the other..

Week #13 has just the one game remaining betwixt Carolina and Philly. But I can already declare that Chiso (at 12-3 before tonight's game) will win the week for the 2nd time this season. Osso is at 10-5. The rest of us; well the rest of us didn't do too well.

Following jes' lead, I picked all the visiting teams. Watch us both end up at 8-8.

Again, I would prefer not posting next week's schedule until this week is done. But that damn Thursday night game... Johnboy turns his A2K hat such that the bill is behind him. You can tell he is unhappy when he does that.[/quote]

WEEK #13 Post Mortem

As a group, we probably did worse this week than we have in most any other week. Only 6 of us managed to end up with more wins than losses.
Kudos to Chiso who romped in at 12-4. He wins his second weekly title of the year.
Osso, Liontamer and Sublime had a very respectable showing: 10-6. Tico and Fbaezer at 9-7 were the other two players above .500 for the week.
Region, JPinMilw, Panzade and Cowdoc broke even at 8-8. It gets bad after that. George, Jespah and Kicky came in at 7-9. No $100 in the office pool for Kicky this week I suspect. And then there were Johnboy Cjhsa, Pantalones, JPB and Child who pathetically limped in at 6-10.
The best ESPN picker finished at 11-5. The worst was 8-8

Fasten you seatbelts for our new standings. TURMOIL AT THE TOP!

Once again, the NFL has scheduled a game for a Thursday night. December 7th. Under a strict interpretation of the rules here (such as they are), players are supposed to pick in all of the games prior to the kick-off of the first game (Thursday night). Here is next week's schedule.

WEEK #14:

Thursday 12/7:
Cleveland at Pittsburgh

Sunday 12/10 early games:
Atlanta @ Tampa Bay
Philadelphia @ Washington
NY Giants @ Carolina
Indianapolis @ Jaccksonville
New England @ Miami
Minnesota @ Detroit
Baltimore @ Kansas City
Tennessee @ Houston
Oakland @ Cincinnatti

Sunday 12/10 late games:
Seattle @ Arizona
Green Bay @ San Francisco
Denver @ San Diego
Buffalo @ NY Jets

Sunday night:
New Orleans @ Dallas

Monday night:
Chicago @ St Louis (+ total points in that game)

I bump this to the front and I am done for the Tuesday roundup. Thanks for playing.

That 'splains it - I did better than usual and went downhill. Oh well.

Now to accelerate downhill, I'll pick these folks:

Pittsburgh
Atlanta
Philadelphia
Carolina
Indianapolis
New England
Detroit (coughs in self-wonderment)
Baltimore
Tennessee
Cincinnati
Seattle
San Francisco
San Diego
NYJets
Dallas
Chicago (21)

This might be a week I change my mind before game time on Thursday.

Trust me, never again will I say "It can't get any worse than last week, can it?"

Pittsburgh
Atlanta
Washington
New York Giants
Indianapolis
New England
Detroit
Kansas City
Tennessee
Cincinnati
Seattle
San Francisco
San Diego
New York Jets
Dallas
St. Louis (49)

By the way, my wife wrote down her picks last week, but didn't post them. She wound up at 10-6. I'll see if she'll put them up here this week.

Ms Cowdoc's picks what have gotten her on the leader board. Encourage her to post this week.

JPB. I never said you were pathetic. This bubba would never say someone was pathetic (at least not on this thread). The phrase was "...pathetically limped in..." There is a difference. At least, I think there is a different nuance.

The Runt actually committed and made her picks for the week. Choices for Mrs. Cowdoc are as follows:

Pittsburgh
Atlanta
Washington
New York Giants
Indianapolis
Miami
Minnesota
Kansas City
Tennessee
Oakland
Arizona
San Francisco
San Diego
New York Jets
New Orleans
St. Louis (38)

She sure didn't copy my picks, so she'll more than likely do pretty well. Have a great week, folks - we're off to Boise again this afternoon! :-)
