I came very close to choosing on your side. I'm sort of surprised by the heavy weightedness to Seattle. Who knows, I have a few hours yet. And what the hell, I'm not going to beat Cowdoc et al.

I sent a pm to kicky re his absence. The reply, which was longer than it would have taken him to post his picks, was an explanation that he was "on vacation.:
Wake up early, sublime Mike. An easy win this week.

Week #9 kicks off. Sublime and Kickycan overslept. That is sad, but it does mean more Pabst Blue Ribbon and Cheez-Whiz for the rest of us.

The theme this week seems to be that we may all be going to hell, but we are going together.

JPinMilw agrees with the majority of the 15 of us in every one of the 14 games. Johnboy. Region and Chiso stray from the majority in only one game. True, Jespah and Pantalones disagree from the majority in 5 games, but that is fewer than is typical.

Deviant points? JPinMilw is at 0, Chiso at 1, everyone else is in higher single digits or in the teens, and then Pantalones at 25 and Jespah at 43.

I see by my charts, by the way, that George, who won Week #8, had the highest Deviant rating last week.

See yall around 4:30 ET with the results of the 9 early games.

9 early games over with and this is not pretty.
JPB and Osso will be amazed to discover that they are in the lead at 6-3. Then there are a bunch of the rest of us at 5-4 or 4-5 and then there is is Region at 3-6.
Chicago? Chicago lost to Miami? 31-13 or something? The scream you heard was sublime diving out o0f his 34th floor condo.
Da Bears stunk today.

So here I am after seeing the Bears lose to the 1-6, Joey Harrington led Miami Dolphins thinking-I knew the bears weren't that good-and wondering am I suppose to believe they are going to the Super Bowl?

I was doing better until that last few seconds field goal by Washington..

I knew the Bears weren't that good, but am surprised by Miami's success.

I was in a terrible dilemma this week, Region. In Fantasy Football, I had the QB for Indy (Peyton Manning) and the NE Defense. Both on my Fantasy team. I hope I made the right decision. I benched Manning and put in McNair from Baltimore. I see that Baltimore won, but haven't seen the numbers.

IGNORANCE IS BLISS

Okay, that isn't really true but, hey, it's election time, when truth doesn't really matter too much.

In truth, Osso knows more about the NFL then she acknowledges. Through the day games she is at 9-3. Right behind her are JPB and CowDoc at 8-4. And then there are the rest of us.

By my calculation, based on a review of the remaining games, I see Osso winning the week unless Oakland wins against Seattle, in which case JPB gets back in. The margin of error in this poll is +/- 3%.
