George has total points of 26 while Region has 54. The mid-point is 40. A NE win and total points less than 40 gives the week to George. A NE win and total points of more than 40 sends the title to Region.

i didn't think the pat's D would be that dominant...

Week #8 ends and by my reckoning we are half way through the regular season. But with experience does not come wisdom for us. As a group we had our worst week of the season. We had more incorrect picks than our previous worst week , which was, coincidentally, the previous week: #7.

George and Region did well, finishing at 9-5. George wins on the basis of the tiebreaker. If Region had stuck with his usual 27 points, he would have won for his second time this season. Instead George, who won in week #1, wins for the second time.
(I have New England's defense on my fantasy team. So I racked up some fantasy points but I still lost to JPinMilw badly).

Johnboy, Liontamer, Cowdoc and Child of the Light are probably satisfied to end up at 8-6 for the week.
Chiso and JPinMilw broke even at 7-7.
A bunch of folks tied at 6-8. Tico, Jespah, Cjhsa, Pantalones and Sublime.
Osso and Fbaezer (5-9) can take solace that they weren't as unfortunate as JPB who staggered in at 4-10.
The best ESPN dude was 8-6. The worst was 5-9.
Kickycan hasn't been sighted for a week.
I'll be back with the standings in a couple of minutes.

Last week when I posted the standings I mused that there wasn't a lot of movement in where people stood. This week, with the exeption of #1 Cowdoc and #17 Jespah, everyone else is in a different position. That is pretty amazing.

1) Cowdoc (.710)(1st last week)
2) Region (.675)(3rd)
3) Chiso (.666)(2nd)
4) Kickycan (.649)(6th)
5) ChildofLight (.631)(4th)
*) Best ESPN Picker (.631)
6) Pantalones (.622)(5th)
6) JPinMilw (.622)(7th)
8) Sublime (.614)(7th)
9) LionTamer (.595)(12th)
10) George (.587)(13th)
11) Osso (.578)(9th)
11) Johnboy (.578)(13th)
13) JPB (.570)(9th)
14) Fbaezer (.535)(15th)
**) Worst ESPN Picker (.535)
15) Tico (.526)(16th)
16) Cjhsa (.518)(11th)
17) Jespah (.500)(17th)
