Indeed, Chiso, a bunch of us A2Kers got together in Chicago in May. Included among them were some folks who are playing this game: Osso, J_B, Sublime and Johnboy. There are pictures of us on some thread that was around. Perhaps someone can provide a link to that thread and to the portion that has the pictures.

Sublime and I managed to down a few with CowDoc during his recent visit as well.

Good to see you here, CowDoc, btw!

Great game, wasn't it, George? I only wish they would have shown more of it rather than the frequent view of Archie and Mom standing stone-faced in their box.

How 'bout those offensive hiccups on third down and short yardage? How many were there, five?

But, I'm over that now, George. You won week 1 fair and square and the Giants can go on losing week after week while I pick them week after week. It doesn't matter to me. See? I can be a good sport.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaa

FOR MY NEXT TRICK...
Here is a new feature to this site. Maybe it will fly; maybe it will bomb. I am searching for an appropriate acronym for this. The working title for this right now is That Is A Really Stupid Question, Johnboy!

Each week you will be asked to predict the result of something. Participation in responding to this will have no effect on the main game.
There is no prize or anything. It is total drivel. Johnboy likes drivel.

Week #2: I made the point that the offenses were outplayed by the defenses in Week #1, in my opinion. Three teams got shut out and the average number of points scored by the 32 teams was just over 17. For the week, the total number of points scored by the 32 teams was 553.

How many points will be scored in Week #2?

Johnboy goes with good ole 666.

If anyone has any suggestions on a stupid thing to "bet" on please pm me.

Realjohnboy goes with the NYG, Buffalo, Indy, Balt, NO, Minn, Cincy, Chicago, and Atlanta. And then with San Fran (!), Arizona, San Diego, New Eng, Denver and Dallas. Finally, and reluctantly, Jax (46).

And 666 in the Stupid Question Game.

Total Number of Points Scored In That Game

There is no Thursday night game so we have until about 1 pm on Sunday to make picks for all of the weekend's games.

Good Luck and NEW PLAYERS ARE WELCOME TO PARTICIPATE!

By the way. If you submit your picks and then change your mind later in the week...no problem. Just post the new pick. I buy wite-out in 55-gallon drums. It would probably be good, though, to shout at me so I am sure to notice the change.

8 picks in so far. The Eyebrowraisers so far:
Fbazer being the only one going for Green Bay;
Edgar alone in picking Detroit over Chicago
And, and, get this, JPinMilw, who actually knows one of end of a football from the other (Did yall know that a football actually has a "front" end and a "back" end? Honest) has been alone in picking Oakland over Baltimore and Cleveland over Cincy.
Should be a wild week!

And can I blame it on the Margaritas I drank the night before?
