based on RJB's post... going into the last game, we have:

George - San Diego (30)
jespah - Oakland (31)
JPB - San Diego (38)
CowDoc - San Diego (39)
Fbaezer - Oakland (49)

It will come down to the tie-breaker in either a 3-way tie at 11-5 or a 5-way tie at 10-6.

Thanks for seeing if a program can be devised. Take your time and if it proves to be more trouble than it is worth, don't feel obligated.

Don't worry about that, I'll do it when I have free time to try to help but also for my own amusement. The resulting program will surely be far from perfect but hopefully it'll help at least in a little bit.

Indeed, George wins Week #1. He had 30 as being the total points scored in the tiebreaker. The actual total was 29.
Here are the full standings

1. George (11 wins - 5 losses) (.687 win rate)
1. Cowdoc (11-5) (.687)
1. J_B (11-5) (.687)

4. Osso (10-6) (.625)
4. Region (10-6) (.625)
4. Child of Light (10-6) (.625)

7. Edgar (9-7) (.562)
7. Jespah (9-7) (.562)
7. Fbaezer (9-7) (.562)
7. McGentrix (9-7) (.562)
7. Kickycan (9-7) (.562)

12. JPinMilw (8-8) (.500)
12. Pantalones (8-8) (.500)
12. Sublime (8-8) (.500)
12. Chiso (8-8) (.500)

16. Realjohnboy (7-9) (.437)
16. Tico (7-9) (.437)

NR. Gus (1-0) (1.000)

Tico was kind enough to pick wrong in both Monday night games so I wouldn't be so lonely in the cellar by myself.

Looking at my spread-sheets, I note that George and Coiwdoc had relatively low (i.e. "good") scores in how far they differed from the popular consensus. J-B had a high score. It paid off for her with her picks of St Louis over Denver; Cincy over KC and Minn over Wash.

Good luck to everyone in Week #2

Good scores for me, considering I'm a slow starter in football (my limited intelligence is dedicated to baseball until the end of the World Series).

Philadelphia
Miami
Indianapolis
Baltimore
Green Bay (man, am I stubborn?!)
Carolina
Cincinnati
Chicago
Atlanta
St Louis
Seattle
San Diego
New York Jets
Kansas City
Washington (just hate 'em Cowboys)

The last one is a toughie:
Pittsburgh 48

Total Number of Points Scored In That Game

There is no Thursday night game so we have until about 1 pm on Sunday to make picks for all of the weekend's games.

Good Luck and NEW PLAYERS ARE WELCOME TO PARTICIPATE!

By the way. If you submit your picks and then change your mind later in the week...no problem. Just post the new pick. I buy wite-out in 55-gallon drums. It would probably be good, though, to shout at me so I am sure to notice the change.

I'll have you know that I didn't have a single beer with any of these folks. Sublime's vodka and O'Bill's wine is another story altogether. Oh wait, I think I brought the vodka and Sublime provided that great mixer. Now what city were we in?

Why isn't Bill on this thread?

Indeed, Chiso, a bunch of us A2Kers got together in Chicago in May. Included among them were some folks who are playing this game: Osso, J_B, Sublime and Johnboy. There are pictures of us on some thread that was around. Perhaps someone can provide a link to that thread and to the portion that has the pictures.
