OK, Diane, I'm having Withers call for the car. And we're off. Ladies with hot credit cards arriving soon at a lingerie department near you.

Things are looking pretty bad on the Iraq situation. It seems American non-essential diplomats are being instructed to come home. More reserve men and women are being called up to serve, and being shipped to Turkey or Kuwait. The US is now working on the last UN resolution for approval which will be vetoed by France, Russia, and China. The clock is ticking, and Saddam's and GWBush's stubornness are going to cause many to be killed and maimed. So sad. c.i.

CI, I'm with you on that- it's sad that many are bound to die. Things are at fever pitch in the UK with tanks and army personnel stationed at Heathrow airport

Hiama stretches and awakes from his slumber he dreamt that Diane and Lola had been buying up the whole of Saks Lingerie department and that Cobalt had flown them around the store as if it was a vast aircraft hangar.

Ci was drinking whisky in the corner so Hiama joined him for a larger than wee dram.

Dan was sitting gazing at the fire, Hiama asked him
" What are you drinking Dan ? Is that a texan speciality and if so can we have the recipe for Withers ? "

'I'm having Campari and soda with a twist of lime' Dan said, 'Withers can easily make you one.'

Golly, they are in color now. They used to all be black and white. I sometimes talked to myself about what the images were. The 'other' guy kept interupting. Well, what can we say?

Now y'all, Blatham's picture............I do believe it's a valentine............ deserves to be big and I like it that way. So please do not shrink the picture. Withers, will you see that this magnificient, breath taking, awe inspiring valentine picture be hung on that wall over there? Yes, that wall, right across from the Magritte. Kissing B. on the cheek, big hug. Big kiss. It's so nice of you to bring us a gift. This is sooooo much better than chocolates.

Hiama kisses B on the cheek too, then remembers he hasn't come out yet so pretends that he is removing a piece of lint from the side of his face. Hiama arranges for drinks all round to celebrate St Valentine's day-Jespah will have a cranberry and tequila, Lola will have her favourite Crystal champagne in a glass with sugar coating the rim of the glass, Blatham a Crown royal special reserve, I'll have two !

The toast is " to distant friends may they become close soon and to close friends may they become closer-not that close Blatham !"

They all get to pondering on which time zone HofT might be celebrating in and who was that dark stranger we saw her with last time she was in the Salon ?

You old softie Blatham flowers and chocolate would have been sufficient. Did all those years at lumberjack camp ( oops sorry tricky use of nomenclature could be miisconstrued) lead to you over compensating as an adult in terms of magnificent benevolence or are you just happy to see us ?
