Well, I suppose "flip flops" would be an appropriate term for either kind of thong, don't you think?

I checked and there are no shoe type flip flops (In Germany we called them -- sounds like -- slap-pi-las with the accent on the slap) at the lingerie store. Sorry Dys.........no go. But they do have thongs, and I can get one for you BillW, as long as it's understood that they have no thongs for male types at this particular store. It's a ladies apparell store. So do you still want one and if so, for whom?

Is BillW saying he's in this too deep?

I wear fly-fishing boots when I come into Lola's saloon...er...salon. There's a lot of deep stuff to trudge around in.

Most of it can be recycled as fuel for the Wizardmobile when I run out of Spam and old soap opera scripts.

In My Secret Life.
Leonard Cohen

In my secret life
In my secret life
In my secret life
In my secret.......

I saw you this morning
you were movin so fast
can't seem to loosen my grip on the past
and I miss you so much
there's no one in sight
and we're still makin love
ohhh whoa... in my secret life
in my secret life..........

I smile when I'm angry
I cheat and I lie
I do what I have to do
to get by
but I know what is wrong
and I know what is right
and I'd die for the truth
ohh whoa..... in my secret life.......

hold on, hold on by brother
my sister hold on tight.....
I finally got my orders
I'll be marching through the morning
marching through the night.....
movin cross the borders of my secret life
look through the paper
makes you wanna cry
nobody cares if the people live or die
and the dealer wants you thinkin
that it's either black or white
thank God it's not that simple in my secret life......

I bite my lip
I buy what I'm told
from the latest hit
to the wisdom of old
but I'm always alone
and my heart is like ice,
and it's crowded and cold
oh whoa ...in my secret life, in my secret life...........in my secret life, in my secret life.......in my secret life, in my secret life..........in my secret life, in my secret life.

My Secret Life, Whatever Lola Wants and The Piano Has Been Drinking are all compliments of Blatham. God love him.

Lola...here's another beautiful one by Cohen, just for you.

"True Love Leaves No Traces"

As the mist leaves no scar
On the dark green hill
So my body leaves no scar
On you and never will
Through windows in the dark
The children come, the children go
Like arrows with no targets
Like shackles made of snow

True love leaves no traces
If you and I are one
It's lost in our embraces
Like stars against the sun

As a falling leaf may rest
A moment on the air
So your head upon my breast
So my hand upon your hair

And many nights endure
Without a moon or star
So we will endure
When one is gone and far

True love leaves no traces
If you and I are one
It's lost in our embraces
Like stars against the sun

Actually, my experience is that love can leave traces which are hard to explain to one's mother.

with those kinds of traces, I find I don't much care whether I can explain it to my mother or not..............

And I don't even try. I just say, "eat your heart out, Mom." And she just smiles..................

Hello my name is Hiama I have been away for a while, can someone turn the Leonard Cohen record up a bit, I can't quite hear it-thats better thanks. Withers, a spoon and a knickerbocker gloria for me with lashings of rum.

Ok so I've been working, trying to keep a roof over my head and I got to wondering maybe I could take a room here. The people have always been nice to me, they may even forgive me for not being around for eons ( work damn four letter word).

So I'll sit here by the fire and see what happens.

"In My Secret Life"

I saw you this morning.
You were moving so fast.
Can't seem to loosen my grip
On the past.
And I miss you so much.
There's no one in sight.
And we're still making love
In My Secret Life.

I smile when I'm angry.
I cheat and I lie.
I do what I have to do
To get by.
But I know what is wrong,
And I know what is right.
And I'd die for the truth
In My Secret Life.

Hold on, hold on, my brother.
My sister, hold on tight.
I finally got my orders.
I'll be marching through the morning,
Marching through the night,
Moving cross the borders
Of My Secret Life.

Looked through the paper.
Makes you want to cry.
Nobody cares if the people
Live or die.
And the dealer wants you thinking
That it's either black or white.
Thank God it's not that simple
In My Secret Life.

I bite my lip.
I buy what I'm told:
From the latest hit,
To the wisdom of old.
But I'm always alone.
And my heart is like ice.
And it's crowded and cold
In My Secret Life.
