If we have the Monkees music, could we turn it down to zero when we play it. Playing it up at 11 could be embarrassing and make people think we are a little, how should I say, TOUCHED IN THE HEAD

Ooo, here's one from the who, in honor of our venerable bus . . .
Every day I get in the queue (Too much, Magic Bus)
To get on the bus that takes me to you (Too much, Magic Bus)
I'm so nervous, I just sit and smile (Too much, Magic Bus)
You house is only another mile (Too much, Magic Bus)
Thank you, driver, for getting me here (Too much, Magic Bus)
You'll be an inspector, have no fear (Too much, Magic Bus)
I don't want to cause no fuss (Too much, Magic Bus)
But can I buy your Magic Bus? (Too much, Magic Bus)
Nooooooooo!
I don't care how much I pay (Too much, Magic Bus)
I wanna drive my bus to my baby each day (Too much, Magic Bus)
I want it, I want it, I want it, I want it ... (You can't have it!)
Thruppence and sixpence every day
Just to drive to my baby
Thruppence and sixpence each day
'Cause I drive my baby every way
Magic Bus, Magic Bus, Magic Bus ...
You can have the Magic Bus for ONE HUNDRED English pounds . . .
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo . . . . TOO MUCH . . .
I said, now I've got my Magic Bus (Too much, Magic Bus)
I said, now I've got my Magic Bus (Too much, Magic Bus)
I drive my baby every way (Too much, Magic Bus)
Each time I go a different way (Too much, Magic Bus)
I want it, I want it, I want it, I want it ...
Every day you'll see the dust (Too much, Magic Bus)
As I drive my baby in my Magic Bus (Too much, Magic Bus)

Bill them good ol boys you spoke of in their bus are still stuck in our mobile parking lock, called THE M25. it's a 120 mile loop round london and if you get stuck in the "fast lane" you can't get on the exit ramp, ever. It's a bit like THE HOTEL CALIFORNIA
I found another bus we might want to check out...just in case we get run outta the country...
OaK...how did you know? I AM ON ROUTE 66!! (less than 2 miles from my house.)

An' here's the Zep . . .
Been Dazed and Confused for so long it's not true.
Wanted a woman, never bargained for you.
Lots of people talk and few of them know,
soul of a woman was created below.
You hurt and abuse tellin' all of your lies.
Run around sweet baby, Lord how they hypnotize.
Sweet little baby, I don't know where you've been.
Gonna love you baby, here I come again.
Every day I work so hard, bringin' home my hard earned pay
Try to love you baby, but you push me away.
Don't know where you're goin', only know just where you've been,
Sweet little baby, I want you again.
Been dazed and confused for so long, it's not true.
Wanted a woman, never bargained for you.
Take it easy baby, let them say what they will.
Will your tongue wag so much when I send you the bill?
Oh man, play it, Jimmy, make it wail . . .

Get your kicks, on route 66 . . .
Here we go goys and birls . . .
This is fer Lola, just pop this tape in . . .
When all the stars are falling down
Into the sea and on the ground,
And angry voices carry on the wind,
A beam of light will fill your head
And you'll remember what's been said
By all the good men this world's ever known.
Another man is what you'll see,
Who looks like you and looks like me,
And yet somehow he will not feel the same,
His life caught up in misery, he doesn't think like you and me,
'Cause he can't see what you and I can see.
I'm a melancholy man, that's what I am,
All the world surrounds me, and my feet are on the ground,
I'm a very lonely man, doing what I can,
All the world astounds me and I think I understand
That we're going to keep growing, wait and see.

Now that we're all in the proper mood, it's time for the really good stuff:
Camarillo Brillo, Frank Zappa (may his memory long endure)
She had that
Camarillo brillo
Flamin' out along her head,
I mean her Mendocino bean-o
By where some bugs had made it red
She ruled the Toads of the Short Forest
And every newt in Idaho
And every cricket who had chorused
By the bush in Buffalo
She said she was
A Magic Mama
And she could throw a mean Tarot
And carried on without a comma
That she was someone I should know
She had a snake for a pet
And an amulet
And she was breeding a dwarf
But she wasn't done yet
She had gray-green skin
A doll with a pin
I told her she was awright
But I couldn't come in
(I couldn't come in right then . . . )
And so she wandered
Trough the door-way
Just like a shadow from the tomb
She said her stereo was four-way
An' I'd just love it in her room
Well, I was born
To have adventure
So I just followed up the steps
Right past her fuming incense stencher
To where she hung her castanets
She stripped away
Her rancid poncho
An' laid out naked by the door
We did it till we were un-concho
An' it was useless any more
(Is that a real poncho . . . I mean
Is that a Mexican poncho or is that a Sears poncho?
Hmmm . . . no foolin' . . . )

And now, a kick-ass drum riff, and then:
Ride, ride my see-saw,
Take this place
On this trip
Just for me.
Ride, take a free ride,
Take my place
Have my seat
It's for free.
I worked like a slave for years,
Sweat so hard just to end my fears.
Not to end my life a poor man,
But by now, I know I should have run.
Run, run my last race,
Take my place
Have this number
Of mine.
Run, run like a fire,
Don't you run in
In the lanes
Run for time.
Left school with a first class pass,
Started work but as second class.
School taught one and one is two.
But, by now, that answer just ain't true.
My world is spinning around,
Everything is lost that I found.
People run, come ride with me,
Let's find another place that's free.
Ride, ride my see-saw,
Take this place
On this trip
Just for me.
Ride, take a free ride,
Take my place
Have my seat
It's for free.
Ride, my see-saw.
Ride, ride,
Ride, my see-saw.

Now that I've pulled myself together, think I'll go, too!
Do we really need clothes on the Love Bus? My new long hair should be able to cover everything if placed strategically...and the wind isn't blowing! Okay, perhaps some body paint....

Well, now guys, we're having nothin to do with the Hotel California..........no sireeeeee, not us. we're just playin around.
If you don't mind guys, I'll keep my hair short for this journey.........when my hair was long, I had to keep it in a pony tail....and that made me look like a cheer leader, what with my short, short skirt and all........so
But the mirrors on the ceiling sound verra nice.........

Ooooo spooky song, i always loved that one . . .
Here, this one's in honor of Bill's Koolade . . .
When the white eagle of the North is flying overhead
And the browns, reds and gold of autumn lie in the gutter, dead.
Remember then the summer bird with wings of fire flaying
Come to witness spring's new hope, born of leaves decaying.
As new life will come from death, love will come with leisure.
Love of love, love of life and giving without measure
Gives in return a wondrous yearn of a promise almost seen.
Live hand-in-hand and together we'll stand on the threshold of a dream.
Kesey taking magic bus and Pranksters to Britain
They'll celebrate last solar eclipse of millennium
Monday, July 12, 1999
PLEASANT HILL, Ore. -- A smile of dreamy delight plays over Ken Kesey's face as he clicks a computer mouse to play home movies of his 1964 bus trip across America, chronicled in "The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test."
