Shewolf's Bean

Reply Fri 12 May, 2006 08:49 am
Hi all! I was just talking to Shewolf and Bean had a little accident and was hurt last night. I won't go into details because I don't want to violate Shewolfs privacy but I hoped you could all send her your thoughts...

She's pretty tired and out of it because it was a late night but if she will allow me, I can add details.

Send good thoughts toward Texas!

Ok, Shewolf said it's ok to post some details.

Apparently last night while Mr. Bean (tee hee) was watching her, she fell and hit her eye on something. She tore out of the room after doggie and it happened when Mr. Wolf couldn't see her so they aren't sure what she hit. He heard her crash and ran in to find that she had tore the skin on her eyelid.

She needed 7 stiches and is pretty banged up. Lots of meds. Out of it. Vomiting from the medicine. Shewolf and Mr. Wolf have been up all night because neither wants to leave her alone. She can talk but is having trouble with muscle control and whatnot from all the medicine they gave her.

They will know more in the next 24 hours about any damage to the eye. Let's hope it was just a skin wound.

Poor Bean.

And poor Shewolf and Mr. Wolf. All you moms and dads out there must certainly know what they are going through.

She will probably not be on this weekend.

For sure...

Oof, that sounds rough. Also hoping the worst is over, and that recovery will be swift...

Ditto hoping the worst is over. I wonder why they had to med her up so much, but that doesn't really matter now. Poor wee little thing.

I think because it was her eye and they really needed her to stay still.

Yack! Is it the eyelid above her eye socket (nearer the eyebrow) or is the skin torn on a part that covers the eyeball? Either way I am sure the poor baby is going to have a black/blue eye from the impact. I certainly hope it's just skin that got torn and no real damage to the eyeball itself. I'm sure the docs medicated her up to make her lethargic so she would hopefully sleep a lot and not be awake to be in pain and/or rub the eye and cause it not to heal as quickly.

Sending good vibes to bean and to shewolf and Mr. wolf. Got to be fretting themselves to pieces until they find out all is okay!

Oh, no! Every parents nightmare!

All the best wishes for little bean and lots of strength to shewolf and hewolf.
I think there is nothing worse for a parent then to see your child suffering
while there is nothing one can do to ease the woes.

My heart goes out to you (((((((((((wewolf family))))))))
