I had not heard it before. It was quite good.

What are sayings 1 to 13.

It's coincidence that I went to the pub last night with a shirt on which had on the back DON'T FIGHT UGLIES THEY HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE.

We had keelsons in our navy - but I really can imagine that the Naval Air Force is different.

Gee!!!

That was fantastic. It always is. I turned the volume up to Max. Cripes.

The architecture of the Faustian 2006.

"Leave your stepping stones behind-Something calls for you.
Leave the dead you left-they'll not follow you."

1. On the ocean all ships are small
2. A collision at sea can spoil your whole day (Thicididies)
3. Good luck is the intersection of preparation and opportunity.
4. Better to be lucky than be good.
5. Planning is everything: plans are nothing.
6. No detail is too small to screw up the whole plan.
7. Persistence and determination trump brilliance.
8. It's never too late to fail.
9. Better to die than to look bad (aviation).
10. Results count: the rest is BS.
11. You may not like the fugging Fleet Staff, but the fugging Fleet Staff sure likes fugging you.
12. Check six o'clock (look behind you - aviation)
13 Never trust anyone all the time.

15. You get what you inspect.

There are many more - some a bit profane.

I can take it George.

It won't currupt me.

Great list. Does goofing off constitute looking bad?

What was that movie with Cary Grant and that handsome chap who all the girls said I looked like. Petticoat something.

Was the Navy anything like that in the old days?

spendius, it never entertains me to see people beat up on each other, and it's so out of character for Francis.

You must be one of those people who don't like "scenes".

Some of us love them.

What have you got against a good set to?

I don't spendius. As skinny as I am, I stepped in between two kids who got into an out and out "go for the jugular" fight. I was injured, but I never filed any complaints. I will never change, I guess.

Sorry to get off topic, McTag. I still believe that the entire thing has to do with economics, and not racism.

why get into a spat or anything uglier ... one can always "agree to disagree" - no need to hold a grudge imo .

Exactly, hamburger.

Interesting thing. Last night, I watched briefly a naturalization ceremony in Florida. I have never seen so many different ethnic groups waving tiny little American flags. It surprised me to learn that Florida has one of the largest populations of naturalized citizens in the country. I'm not certain that is particularly relevant, but I found it a little different from what I had thought.

As I told one of my cyber friends, the world would be a false and boring place if everyone agreed on everything. It's how we choose to disagree that is the point.

Miss Letty, the wrongness is in the eye of the beholder.

Sorry guys, the story is over.

I retreated already to my usually "restrained" position.
