Last summer Nuge and Toby Keith toured Iraq and Afghanistan doing shows for the troops. I bet that's more than you can say.
I entertain the troops with witty posts on a2k.
I like it when people do shows for the troops...
What's Toby Kieth got to do with what BVT and I posted anyway?

As far as our Constitutional gun rights go, there is no change.
Correct, it is still a collective right.
Why do we need the NRA if everybody has the right to bear arms? Ever try to buy a weapon lately?
Actually, yes. Try to buy a weapon where you live C.I. The only place in Sunnyvale that I know of that sells guns is Big 5. Otherwise you have to go to San Jose. And good luck finding a handgun dealer, even Mel Cotton's in San Jose doesn't carry them.
Here in Michigan I can buy a shotgun at the grocery store, once I pass the hour long or so background check. There's a longer waiting period for handguns, but I can still buy one without any special permits, so long as I don't carry it around on my person.

Who is your person? If they're carrying your gun, do they have to follow you around?

Definitely what the Founding Fathers had in mind...

Well, Meijer isn't your average grocery store.
"... so long as I don't carry it around on my person."
The "right to bear arms" is non-restrictive.
I agree c.i., but that isn't exactly what our laws state.
Most of the states now allow concealed carry, thanks to the efforts of the NRA and other pro-second amendment groups, but you must pass an extensive background check, take training classes, and get a permit from your local sheriff/constable in order to pack heat.
Plus it helps to practice - a lot.
