("song of india" lyrics added for a movie, whose title i've forgotten and won't look up, in, i believe, the '4os.)

My soapbox for the morning: people (including myself) who try to soften the effects of their consumerism by buying kinder products. Like, why the hell can't we WASH our asses instead of scraping them out with recycled, unbleached paper, which we then throw away? (At the same time, I once knew a woman who used a sock for her period and never used more than four squares of toilet paper at a sitting, and I can't say that it wasn't off-putting.)

Lola - a surfeit of food is meant to make up for its deficient quality in many places.

McTag, I, too, think Winnie said that very thing when some speech editor had the audacity to tell him NOT to end a sentence with a preposition. Love it!

Cav, As a matter of record, I pronounce "about" like Peter Jennings and the rest of you Canajuns, as in a-boat..It's an East Virginia thing. Heh, heh. Now you get your poor Grammar outta that attic right this minute. Evil or Very Mad Don't you know it's too hard on you to carry her tray up that disappearing stairway?

He trods it sideways like Escher, and so is able to climb in a relaxed supine pose.

Lola that's why they invented the doggie bag. Also it's like making sure a doggie has "bookends" so to speak. doggie bag and a poop bag. one for each end

It took a while, oak, but I've got a prototype for you. (An angst-ridden depiction of nature encapsulated by plastic {in}humanity.)

lola; if your going to use oak's baggies; just make damned sure you dont get them mixed up!! Twisted Evil
And related to the granny (sorry grammar) in the attic, I had it pointed out to me by a friend from Quebec that some English phrases sound wonderful to the "french" sensitivity to language; for example "cellar door".
