I think you may need a little more insight to actual history before you rely totally on your special x-ray vision.

Before this becomes completely wasteful of time and space, the reason I entered is that you began your thesis here with a premise you didn't prove.

Throughout history, every generation thinks the new one is headed to hell in a handbasket.

What is any different now? What is going on that is substantially different to the scandals of Elvis' hips, women in pants and working, divorce and Scarlett O'Hara driving her own buggy?

But, can you prove your thesis? Why is today different from every other time people have said America is in decline?

Why is anyone interested in knowing the reason for the supposed decline, when we are unable even to provide the reason for concluding that America is in decline, at all? We are looking for reasons, right?
