According to the Bible, Jesus was without sin. I'd call that pretty flawless, wouldn't you?

So, can you show me where in the Bible it says He has flaws?

This is already where I got lost in Momma's argument. How is "flaw" the same as "sin"? Aren't there also flaws that are not sins? And couldn't Jesus thus have flaws and still be sin-less?

(Note that up to this post of Momma's, Stevewonder had not mentioned the word "sin" yet, but merely pointed out that Jesus did have flaws.)

nimah,

Yes, I am the one that used the word sin. I don't believe Christ sinned. I also believe He was without flaw. So, sorry for getting that mixed up there.

Nimh, that's a good question. Could Jesus have flaws and be sinless? I just looked up flaw and there are a few definitions. One of them is a sudden outburst of passion.

But, before I answer any further on this, I want to research it a bit. I can see timber is gearing up, so I need to have my facts straight.

Okay, let's start with these:

stevewonder,

That's not the verse I was talking about. Embarrassed I was talking about where He said I am the Truth, the Way, and the Life. Sorry for the confusion.

How old was David when God said that? If God had just made him His begotten son, couldn't that mean "adopted"? To be begotten is to be born of.

So what your saying is

1) the Bible is not the literal word of God and/or

2) When the Bible calls anyone a son God it means 'adopted' which actuallu contradicts the term first born, adopt children cannot be first born

3) the nxt point your ask is how old was he when the termr son of God, he was and adult, as Jesus was when 'the voicefrom above' said he was Gods son.

So David, Adam and Moses are equally the sons of God as Jesus was, indeed all Jewish people are descrbed as the chldren of God and this is an arguement Jesus uses when they begin to stone him.

Jesus is the Only Begotten Son of God. He is the only one that was born of a woman and God, literally.

The others are not being spoken of as actually being born of a woman and God.

I always thought it funny that the salvation of the entire human race came about by God knocking up some guys wife.

I think you've got a problem there, Q--there's no mention of marriage--it seems Mary was an unwed mother . . .

I never realized that there's a contradiction over whether she was wed or not.

Mathew1:16 and Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.

But wait, then in Luke:

Passage Luke 1:27:
27to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin's name was Mary.

So which is it? Well, engaged or married the point still stands. I also doubt God was married to her at the time of conception, and having sex out of wedlock is another christian no-no.

The shock was at what Questioner wrote.

No, we don't believe God had sex with Mary. Tell you what, when you are all finished making your jokes, maybe we can pick up the conversation.

No honest I am serious what do you mean literally the son of G.d

Example I have two sons you meet them I say 'these are my two sons,'
'This is Andrew and this is Paul'
'Andrew is my real son and Paul is my adopted son'

whats the diference?? That I am the biological father of Andrew I copulated with his mother and she gave birth to him, SO LITERALLY I AM HIS FATHER, but I am metophorically Pauls father.

Now you tell me how G.d is the Literal Father of Christ??
Did G.d gve birth to Christ?
Did G.d copulate wth anyone to give birth to son?
How exactly is Jesus the child, offspring son etc of G.d?

Matthew 1:20 ~ Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.

Chicken baster.

That's what it usually means.

Setanta's always shocked when I mention friends' chicken baster babies.

And there's another virgin birth in Riverdale.

Chicken baster baby.
