Maybe someone ought to ask the legislators if any of the wounded at Columbine happened to be gay, would it be permissable to dispense with any treatment for them.

Well, statistically speaking, some of the wounded at Columbine WOULD have been gay - so i would guess the answer to that would have been "yes".

on the House floor, DeLay expanded the possible list of suspects in the Columbine incident to include "the culture of abortion," the teaching of evolution and "liberal relativism that has hollowed out the souls of too many in our society."

Bi-Polar Bear<

I don't think you're being homophobic for not wanting your children to be gay. Every parent wants his/her child to be "perfect" in every way. They want the best for their offspring and would not wish the derision the child would receive were he or she gay.

It just so happens that no one wants to be gay. We are all supposed to grow up and have a spouse and two children. That's the American way.

But being gay, like being straight, is not a choice the parent or child can make. That choice is made in the genetic process.

Gay people are much more tolerant towards others than vice-versa.

So, if one of your children is a gay person, love that part of him/her. You'll get a lot of love back in return.

As for the Colorado legislation, it is dehumanizing.
