Well, Mapleleaf, Diane and Letty are all leaving tomorrow. Crying or Very sad Mom and I have promised Diane that we will drag Letty kicking and screaming to visit her and hubby before they go back north. We're all looking forward to that.

Had a great time at Rusty's ~ Roger watched with disgust as I ate a dozen raw oysters.....He had his trusty cheeseburger to munch on. Letty, Phoenix and bigdice all tackled the lobster dinner. The lobsters lost.

Phoenix asked the waitress (with great flourish, I might add) if she had any idea who we were. I, of course, wanted to duck under the table ~ I visit Rusty's quite often.....Anyway, the waitress gave her the 'deer in the headlights look' which brought an uproar of laughter. I told Mary (the waitress) that all of us had never met before but knew each other simply because of A2K. Mary took a few steps back, smiled and left post haste to fetch our drink orders..... :wink:

To answer Miss Olga's question in regard to the pics:

On page six of the B-Bque thread, kneeling from left to right are Diane and Phoenix; standing from left to right are Mapleleaf, urs, bigdice, Roger, Misti and Letty. In the same picture on the next page, I am standing between Mapleleaf and urs. Hope that helps!

Laughing over the story about the waitress and the dinner out! Laughing

When Crones got together in Maine for the first time as a gaggle, some of us went out to the local down-home restaurant in Winter Harbor. While waiting for lobstah glorious lobstah! and other delights, one broke into acapella "Amazing Grace". The whole place was silent and then cheered at the finish. Wow - a goosebump moment. And then there was the moment one of our Southern belles asked for "ahs tay"...

Yeah, we tried to explain to the waitress but she was not TOO interested, lol. Meanwhile our friend "the local" was a bit flustered - her former life as a quiet lady in town now s h a t t e r e d.
