Lots of rain showers today, and humid.

I think we're land sogged this summer, certainly no drought conditions as is usual.

Thanks to Ivan's huge outer bands, we have not seen the sun in two days ... dreary, overcast, rain showers ... ah well, this is the tropics!

With sounds "extremely" warm to me, for early morning

15° here now - but blue (well, 'black-blue-red') sky. Will be another fine morning - forecasts for the day aren't that good.

It's raining now in Balingen and is pretty cool after a windy day with some sun and lots of very black clouds. But luckily, the sun was out during my lunch break and I could sit outside to read! :-)

Really, people are changing their jobs now frequently (isn't your local mine called "Lochenstein Gold Mine" Laughing ), and managers save money where they can ...

Seriously, weather has been here about the same: heavy rainfalls with some quite sunny periods and temperatures of about 18°/20°.

It looks like Florida is in the clear from hurricane Jeanne and Karl ... so I wonder who's up next?

Low 90's today, with lots of humidity!

Did I say we were in the clear from hurricane Jeanne?

No, she came at us with a vengeance and made quite a mess in her wake.

There are two bridges completely broken, there are homes ready to fall into the ocean with the erosion ... there are so many trees down, windows smashed, people left homeless my heart breaks for them.

We stayed home for the duration and were very fortunate our condo. was not scratched. Must have been all the Holy Water from Lourdes I sprinkled before the storm hit!

Traffic lights are down everywhere, police are taking good care of us though.

People in Florida are feeling sooooooo vulnerable at the moment, they are anxious and overwhelmed, and it's no great wonder.

I'm happy to report it's the weekend and we DON'T have a hurricane on the horizon!

There's a cold front moving in, we may reach 78 degrees!
