Yesterday, there came a dust storm, reminiscent of the Dust Bowl of the 1930s.

That was really something to watch! I’ve never been in a dust storm and after watching that hope I never will.

It was a common occurrance some years back. I didn't recall, until this morning that the same thing happened in Phoenix not long ago.
It was a mental error caused me to put 2012 in the headline.

I've been in one in May this year in Nevada: you hardly could see the windscreen wipers ... but e.g. those in Phoenix were even worse.

I've only seen sand start to flood the road (Coors), once, which was scary enough. Give me fog any day.
