Thok, that must be the rain we had... It is getting nicer and sunnier here in the Southwest of Germany!

Probably, but the sky is on the one side blue, on the other with very "heavy" clouds dull.
well.
The heat finally broke... what a relief. Yesterday was really lovely. I can't wait for autumn.
Since one week, always in the 30°'s [86°+]degrees here (with forecasted 35°C [95°] today).
at present:
26 ° C / 79 °F clouds and rain.
35.5° (96°) and still getting hotter, blue sky.
It was 83 degrees in the bedroom when we went to bed last night and my wife still wore pajamas and slept happily under a warm acrylic blanket!
We have had 11 inches of rain so far, in the month of August. Normal for this entire month is 7+ inches. Now they are talking about a lot of rain on Thursday, and a possible tropical storm on Saturday. Yuk!
Phoenix, don't you wish that Bonnie would lie over the OPEN ocean? It's odd here. It alternates between beautiful and stormy. This morning it is clear and sunny. Haven't been outside yet, but it's not intensely hot.

Oh my good God.
Here today, warm and extremely humid, temp around 26 deg.
Hot, humid, cloudy most of the time, with intermittent storms, and we're on a tropical storm watch. We don't know yet if it will make it to east central Florida, but for sure the Tampa Bay area will get most of it. Then there's another, right behind that!
Life in the tropics!
22 °C (72 ° C) , cloudless and sun.
sun and cloudless, but coming soon the cyclone from a former hurrican, what means rain and probably thunderstorms.
How about Florida? The announce said, that a tropical storm and a hurricane is coming.
Bonnie will go north of where I am, but I will be hit by Charley, but right now, they don't know how significantly. They are tracking the storm, but the line could meander 100 miles this way or that, and that would make a difference.
What the weather cognocenti are saying, is that Charley will be a very fast moving storm, so there won't be a huge amount of rain dropped. That is good, 'cause there are rivers not too far from me that are just about at flood stage, from the heavy rains that we have been having this month. Gratefully, I am not in an evacuation zone.
I went to Publix this morning, just as it opened at 8. Usually, when I go this early, the store is usually very quiet. This morning it was a zoo.
I had a bunch of those tuna salad envelopes, and I bought some peanut butter and jelly. We will survive!
For any of you who are in the storm area, don't forget to fill your bathtubs with water, before the storm hits. In case the water is shut off, you can use the water in the tub to flush your toilet!
In North Rhine-Westphalia there are already heavy thunderstorms and in Swabia flooding.
upcoming here...
Break a leg ,means in the broader sense: good luck!
Phoenix, Panzade has a thread for all of us to check in. Glad you mentioned the bathtub water. Will do that. Hope Rae and Misti find it, too. AND Wild Bill.
Thok, Charley is a hurricane. YIKES
