Lovely weather here yesterday.
Lovely weather here today.

May go out for a bicycle ride later.

God is in his heaven and all is well with the world. Hereabouts anyway.

I saw a strange fact in the paper yesterday, which I will include below.

Walter, that's right - it's about the same...

Actually, that is more or less the view of Hechingen and the castle that I have from my office building! Isn't that lovely?!

Misti, Florida, and the beautiful sky with tons of those huge clouds. I love the six weeks I spent there in 2001.

Germany looks great too.

This morning the cold front, what cold front, 90s again just not as much humidity, has moved through. The storms were not too bad in Tejas but Kansas, Missouri, where hit hard. The dry line is moving east and bad weather is expected in the southern east coast of the US today.

Joanne, glad to hear that the storms were not that bad in Texas. That doesn't sound like a cold front to me!

Wow! That's the sort of view I pay thousands of dollars, and 24 hours in a metal tube to see! Castles, any type, are a bit undersupplied in Oz!

I could offer a flight for 759.40 GBP = 1,140.83 EUR = 1,391.32 USD = 1,946.44 AUD // 24h 05 min

More than you suggested, but in this case, you mustn't work there (and it's only a single ticket) Laughing

Jeez, Walter - less than $2000 - but a respectable airline, I hope!

A long weekend coming up - I'm charging up my camera battery as we speak, so I can fly over there, look at that castle, take the pic, and be back home for Tuesday work chaos!

There's just one or two small problems to sort out first.

Passport is ready!

Hmmh - Emirates via Dubai, however, nearly half the Quantas-price.

I'll give you a lift from Francfort airport to urs' and the castle.

Laughing Cool Thanks for the offer!

Qantas is not cheap - but I was so glad to be back on Qantas, after the nightmare that calls itself Scandinavian Airlines, last year. At my age (and corporation) I no longer want to travel in agony for the sake of travelling.

Emirates are making a big push out here! The 2-stop thing is against them ( Singapore, Dubai, wherever!)

What? Not satisfied with SAS, Margo? Well, I only fly with them from Germany to Sweden...

It's raining in Balingen - and Hechingen, at least I was when I left the office...

Saw that ... above  Beautiful sunshine here - althought rain had been forecasted.

I like SAS as well (well, I did, until the local airline, acting for them as commuter airline, went bancrupt).

I flew SAS Narita-Copenhagen-Stockholm and return last year, as being the quickest way to get to Sweden.
Those flights out of Narita are meant for Japanese passengers. I don't fit that mold! I'm taller, wider, and from now on - meaner. I have never had a worse flight. The Customer Service people were plain offensive. I guess they figured I had already made the decision not to fly SAS again. However, I warn people about them every opportunity. Interestingly, I had no problems CPH-ARL, and had flown SAS on short flights before, - but the seats on the 12-hour long-haul were just agony!

From Sweden, I flew Ryanair to London, and they were fine. (and cheap!)

Oh - and rumours of rain here, although none actually seen yet!

I understand that, margo! We flew from Boston to Paris with Airfrance in 2001 - it was terrible. They must have put in additional rows. I did not even dare to go the bathroom during the whole flight. I felt that I would panick if I tried to move...

Still cloudy and rainy and some thunderstorms. Next week it's supposed to be summer. Of course, then I will be in Sweden...
