Misti, are you the photographer? If so, very nicely done. I've always had an affinity for photos of ocean waves and surfing. Got more?

After a really hot day, summer ended this evening with thunderstorms and rains. (And no electricity for 13 minutes: a lightning destroyed the local transfomation station.)

Why are you eating Christmas cookies at this time of year??? We don't do Christmas cookies in Oz, - probably because of the problems you're experiencing!

I didn't know such things existed, until, some years back, a German exchange medical student was at my place, just before Christmas, and was moaning about how un-Christmas-like it was (seemed fine to me - heat, humidity, blowflies, bushfires, mangoes!)

He decided the thing that would make it Christmas was the cookies, so we scouted around and found some recipes, and spent a day cooking merrily away. We made stacks of the things - I still have the photos - and he was a little happier! He went back to Munich, and they haven't been made since. (Perhaps I'll have a go this year...)

Small things make it , don't they?

Feels like Christmas here now, weatherwise - it was about 30C at 5am today! (~90F)

)Well, summer (you perhaps remember: ouside Oz, season change on 23th of September  ) said good-bye today, with temperature 30° and above during the day, a heavy thunderstorm in the evening, accompanied by 13 minutes of energy blackout (there a lightning stroke in the local power transformator).

(The latter gave a real "un-time" christmas feeling with all the candles in the houses Laughing

Put me in mind of that, a bit. Thought I'd sing to y'all.

The weather in Oklahome City this weekend was wonderful. Cool and sunny with a brief thunderstrom Sunday morning and fog this morning.

But I got a sinus head ache within 60 miles of Dallas another orange day. Today is predicted red or maybe even purple, yikes.

I just gotta get outta this place the DFW metroplex that is for sure.

We have a little Indian summer out here in Northern California. It was 93 today, but expect it to be in the mid-eighties tomorrow.
