we got lucky on this one. the weather guys are talking about pressure ridges, sheer lines, and other stuff that kept the typhoon away. but we know better. it was due to misti's anti-typhoon dance!

It's been absolutely gorgeous here the last couple of weeks ~ I didn't see one single cloud in the sky and the ocean breeze was lovely.....not quite cool enough to sleep without A/C though.....

Great weather this week, but supposedly rain for the weekend. However, I find meteorologists tend to color the truth, just a tad!

Misti, Getting a little bored without any answers? LOL I do hear the echo.....
Misti, I read your weather reports regularly. Your weather is frequently similar to Houston's, but you make it sound better: lazy clouds and mild breezes - sounds just lovely!
c.i., thanks for the chuckle:)
Macsm11, thank you so much.
I think it's very interesting to hear what other people are experiencing and their version of the weather. Most weathermen/women tell us what to expect, but really they don't say what's happening outside, at this moment:)

Glorious day today!
Hope you all had a lovely Easter!
A cool, drizzly day in Seattle. This morning, while walking down the hill to work, I saw Elliott Bay blending into the sky. Grey on grey. It was lovely, if you like monochromatic images. Rather mystical.
D'art, don't you just love weather like that? It makes you feel as though you're in Brigadoon:)

Very overcast, cloudy day, and a great thunderstorm as soon as I walked in the door from work! Great timing!
Hi, from Central Virginia, USA. We got hit this evening with some vicious thunderstorms. Lots of lighning and heavy rain.
We have surge protectors on the computers and other appliances, of course, as well as on the kids and the dog, but we still try to unplug things if we are home when a storm hits because we seem to be in a vulnerable area.
When the storm appeared to have passed this evening we turned things back on, only to get hit again. A golf-ball sized spark of light came out of the surge protector next to my computer. The surge protector seems to have given its life to save us.
It's early in the season for us to have this kind of weather.
RJB: Those thunderstorms are the ones you must watch out for!
Glad to see your computer is okay, and of course, you and your family:)
What about tides? My radio controlled doohickey on the wall tells me it is High Tide. Now, what is that supposed to mean. THERE ARE NO TIDES IN NEW MEXICO.
Roger, you better get your boots on!
