Since more than a fortnight we have had sunny winter weather here. Now it's getting warm (14° C today), but still sunny (and cold during the night).

The last month we had virtually nothing to do at our job: the economic situation both in the company and in the country is awful.

Thanks. Now I have to find another one, and it is very difficult under the present conditions: unemployment rate is around 11 percent...

Last week we had 70 degree days and this week solid ice with a high of 26, yikes. This is not expected to last beyond tomorrow afternoon but 48 hours of ice and sleet is more than enough.

stiessd, Sorry to hear about your job and prospects. We live in Silicon Valley, and many engineers are now jobless. The unemployment rate is over seven percent, and we live in one of the most expensive areas in the US. The average home cost in Santa Clara County is somewhere in the 450 thousand range. That's the irony; homes are still being sold in our area, and some are showing increases in value. Talk about confused! c.i.

Steissd, it is good that you have found another job so quickly. I hope that does not mean you will have less time for A2k!
