Misti, It wasn't the shoes that did you in. You had to wear a nose ring! Wink c.i.

c.i., oops, you're right, but you know something? I have a thing about nose-rings, I always try to escape them:)

30F in Florida? Say it ain't so. I hope this isn't going to wreck the oranges.

We've got 47F and it's nearly 10pm. "At least it didn't rain this morning," she says brightly.

Seems everyone has rain but us!

There is a forecast for light rain today - but not looking too hopeful. And not today!!! please! This is the first time in this cricket series against the English that they've actually looked like giving us a game, and the whole thing is very delicately balanced. 2 days to go. No rain yet, pleeeaaaasssee!!!! This is the last match of the series.

Will you please send me a good link for how to watch cricket? I've watched it and see some nice "baseball" (j/k, j/k  Laughing ) going on, but I have no idea about the scoring (which sounds like something out of Harry Potter) and the running back & forth as many times as possible. I do enjoy the shape of the playing field and some of the men seem lovely.

Good luck to Your Team.

[Maybe if you just explained what the score was and then said what it meant! But don't jinx your team. Tell us afterwards!]

Here are some - it is said - good explanations:

Cricket rules

(I'm trying desperately since more than 30 years to understand that - you can't, IMHO, if didn't get it with your mothermilk!)

Walter, I saw the floods in your neck of the woods on the news last night, simply terrible.

It's a beautiful day here, 65F, sunny and mild. Another cold front moving in on Monday ... <sigh>

Thanks, Walter, but... oh my!

quoted from the link:

... a batsman is in until he’s out. When he’s out the next batsman comes in until he’s out. When all the batsmen are out, the team is all out, apart from one batsman who is not out.

_____
Can anybody tell me how if all the batsmen are out, there is still a batsman who is not???

There are always 2 batsmen in! So, when the 10th batsman is out, the team is all out, but one batsman is left not out. But it doesn't matter, he has to go anyway!

Oh. Uh-huh. That is about as clear as anything. Always 2 batsmen in... of course!

Well, has your team won yet???
