Merry Andrew... wish I could have gone to NH with you. I love taking the road less traveled!
So, Okay, fellow storm watchers... I lost power about ten minutes after I sent my previous message. Thank heavens I'd turned off my computer! A largish branch fell crosswise right across the top of the utility pole just in front of my house. It couldn't blow off and had to burn off, with an amazing display of noise and pryotechnics. We were without power until well into the evening! Luckily I had all the candles from Christmas Eve and we sat around the table by candlelight reading my new and old books of EStVM. Very fun. I even read "We were very tired, we were very merry" and thought of you, Andy!
Back online now, but some storm clean-up to attend to today! It's only 42F here. Heavy cloud but no rain.
Hey! It really is raining now. Pretty heavy stuff, too. c.i.
Clear blue skies, slight ocean breeze and more brrrrrr weather (sorry Mom) for tonight.....I'm lovin it.
I want clear skies. Yes, I really, really do!
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
Here we go again.....
There, there now, Piffka.....(would someone please find the darned box of tissues!.....)
Oh, sorry dear.....there, there now.....
I <sniff> just want to see the sun again... maybe a couple of stars. I mean, is it too much to want to know what the moon is looking like?????
Of course that's not too much to ask.....there, there.....okay now.....suck it up.....be a big girl.....oh, sorry.....there, there.....
I guess I'll just go crawl into a hole. I'll see about as much sky there as here. <grump, grump, grump>
Awww now.....let's not be like that.....besides, I've seen you post elsewhere and you seem pretty happy.....
Caught ya!
But you're forgiven.....
P. S. The sky is still there, all the stars are in place, m'dear. And look! There's one winkin just for you!
Piffka, so sorry about your disaster, but happy nobody was hurt and also that you were able to have fun and make the best of it.
It's 34F here in Florida tonight, clear and mild.
It's refreshing to say the least. I think it was Bandylu that remarked our 34F and NY 34F are two different things, she's right!
I'm adjusting and dressing for the occasion, but I don't HAVE to like it!
Misti26--
Are you freezing? It's 35 here in South Georgia, and I'm wearing sweats over my jammies! We're not used to the cold, and it is highly innappropriate, if you ask me!
Need heat! Thank goodness it stopped raining.
Jack, my dog, insists on sleeping near the backdoor instead of in his $150. doghouse. He is a long haired cocker and I have to blow dry him when he gets wet. I've had to do it twice this week!
The very worst of Melbourne weather today: Hot & very windy at the same time. Dust blowing in from the drought areas in the country & settles everywhere. Not a good day for hay fever sufferers!
You bet I'm freezing LG, and it's HIGHLY abnormal AND inappropriate.
Your Jack is too funny!
I have often thought of blow drying Paddy after his bath but he won't even look at us, he gets totally p'o'd at us and refuses to talk for at least 4 hrs.
I know he's upset, but it hurts me more than it hurts him:(
A man who caters to his dog.....my kinda guy.
Trust me, LG, Mom's half of the house is locked up tight.....my half, on the other hand.....very, very chilly!
I'm sorry Msolga, we in Florida know what you mean by drought, it ain't fun!
Here in west Florida, it is 43 degrees. Earlier, when it was about 50 degrees, I was at a rather fancy mall, which has a number of lovely restaurants, in an area outside, adjacent to the mall. My husband noticed that people were eating outside in the fifty degree weather, and that when we walked past, there was warmth. When we investigated, we found that around the perimeter of the outdoor area where people were dining, there were some sort of heaters, placed on top of poles.
That is sooooo sad.....at least for FL.
