16.5° (62 F) yesterday, cloudy; 18° (64.5 F) today, blue sky all the day.

Last year, we had had snow around this time, minus degrees ...

@urs53,
There are many good bargains on Christmas Market river cruises from the US; I just wonder how the demand can stay at previous year's levels in this economy.

@urs53,
Not that much cooler today - we've still the gerania outside, in blossom .... and 'Christmas stars' (poinsettias) inside ...

@Walter Hinteler,
Weve had only one real froswt and my lettuce, which is a usual measure of the severeity of ffreezes, are doing just fine. My Autumn garden has all sorts of good veggies going. RAdish, bok choy, carrots, beets, potatoes, fall peas, fall onions and leek. A good bounty for our Thanksgiving meal.

That's easy. Last year's demand was just terrible. If this year's is slightly less terrible, they'll all be marketing geniuses.

We're at 31f at 4:00 a.m. Some years it's a lot colder; some years warmer.

@Rockhead,
Yikes! Low shows 27 here and I just heard from my daughter that a teenager drowned in the ocean because of strong rip tides. Who in the world would go swimming in the Atlantic when it's that cold. Poor kid.

@hamburgboy,
-18 c before the windchill

Set just took the dogs for a very quick quick quick run to the corner and back. He says he could have just snapped his moustache off. Cold.

@ehBeth,
That's brutal!

Speaking of brutal, EhBeth, how is this for an attack? I need your picks in the NFL game.

2 F (-17 C)

Forecast low for tomorrow morning is 4 F (-15.5 C). Given that it's already 2, I think they're going to be wrong.
