Piffka...
Even though we only live what, 20 miles away from each other, it sounds like we had very different kinds of weather. We had torrential rains here last night and most of today. It even soaked the ground under the group of evergreen trees in my back yard, and it rarely rains hard enough to do that...
Oh dear- thoughts for Peuo and all on Guam....
It has just dropped to -12 outside. I went for a walk just now, I think my ears have fallen off - I cant feel them !
Oh, sorry if I misled you. I was trying to be affirmative... not wanting to think bad thoughts. No, I have not heard from Pueo, but I continue to believe he will contact us soon and say he is OK.
Sorry, Misti, CI and anybody else. Thanks LittleK & Matrix for interpreting for me. <blush>
Matrix -- We had a couple of short rains later on, but I took the doglets for a walk yestereday and we didn't get wet! It is raining nicely this morning! I think I'll wear a hat when I feed horses.
Minus 12??? In London? What is that in Fahrenheit?? 22-24?
oops sorry, I forgot to mention that I am in Prague currently !!
Ahhh. That makes sense. Are you liking it... other than the frigidly cold weather? Going home soon?
I love this city (lived here for almost 5 months and this is my 14th or 15th visit here.
Pre-Christmas the city is decked up like a bride just ready to walk down the alter....
Going back Friday night, have to be in London over the weekend for some stuff.
Real winterweather- blue sky, icy wind, 19F-
feels cold, but good.
Guatam, you are such a man about the world! I like your description of Prague -- visualize a city as a bride.
Have a fabulous time there! Stay warm. Maybe you need a fur hat?
Rain, freezing rain, sleet, snow--take your pick. If you didn't like the weather this morning in one part of the county, you needed only to drive a few miles--which would not have taken longer than, oh, say, thirty or forty minutes. Idiot Ohio drivers--mornings like this scare me, not because of road conditions, but because of the drivers on the road.
Okay, Rae! Thrill us with your warm temperatures and glowing reports of ol' Sol in the sky.... Come on, we just want to live vicariously!!!
Current temp here at 8pm is a brisk 48F with light wind and while it is wet outside it is not CURRENTLY raining!
Possible severe thunderstorms expected today with a high of about 78 degrees. The weekend looks good though ~ highs in the sixties, clear and low humidity.....yes!.....good hair days a'comin!
Rae- I meant to ask you about what is doing in your neck of the woods. I feel like I am in NY in late April. (OK, it IS a bit warmer). That damn el nino has sent fronts down here, and it has been pouring since yesterday, and will rain (and occasionally thunder) all day today.
This is very unusual weather for over here. December is usually very dry and sunny, if a bit cool.
-5 today outside, and no sun - they say that the night might get warmer, the temp might rise to -2 !!!!
A little bit warmer today, 26 F at lunchtime, high fog( does this word exist?), feels colder than yesterday. Some snow flurries.
Another magic Sydney summer day! Not yet too hot or humid. About 70F (in your language) about 6am. Not a cloud in the sky - and it's Saturdaaaaaayyyyyy!!!
Hiya Phoenix ~ the tornado warnings were finally lifted a few hours ago and the rain is trying to stop. Wind is picking up quite a bit and it looks like we'll be in for a cool, dry evening.
