It's a pity that Steve. All sport is great.Even raindrops running down windows.
You must not be a betting man.
Anyway-you missed what was probably the best display of sporting prowess that it has been my pleasure to see.For once the commentator's hyperbole was hardly adequate.

Are you into spread betting?

Yeah.Exciting ain't it.IG Index. That performance index on football is edge of the seat stuff I find. But cricket can get really out of it.I only bet horses in big races but I watch what's on.
Bookies and women.
It's actually been hot here today.I had to get my long johns off.And I'm as thirsty as hell and hell must be really thirsty judging by the amount of sinning.

So we got the first clouds this morning since 19 days. (But we had had more sun until these early hours than in some complete previous Octobers, a radio moderator just said )
Weather reports say, we could get some rain by evening.

Ok, hurricane Wilma is whipping away at the Yucatan Peninsula and mostly stationery ... she is expected to head north in the coming days and reach the Florida Keys Monday or Tuesday.
If you look to the extreme east of the map, just under "Titusville" is where we are located.
So if the storm comes across the Florida Keys, it loses strength and chances are we will just get lots of rain and wind.

Since yesterday, it's raining here. But temperature still not late-October-like: 17°C (62°F) at noon, especting again up to 20°C (68°F) in the coming week (and less rain, they said).
All the very best for the regions in Wilma's way!

We never figured Wilma to be as horrid as she was ... however, we are fine here, and over the whole thing!
There are a lot of people without power in southern Florida, and no hope of having it back again until the end of November. Yikes!
Weather is beautiful at this moment, it is cool and dry and daytime in the 70's, evenings low 50's ... perfect!!!

Here, we again had had (and still have) summer weather at the very end of October, with temperatures up to 24° C!!!
(Good to hear that you are fine over there.)

Snow in Boston (Mass), I hear, unseasonable for October.
Not sure about Boston (Lincs)
Still warm here, but wet 'n' windy. I was sweating during my walkabout yesterday.
It's been a mad year for changeable and odd weather, has it not.

weather or not
eastern lake ontario :
wind is howling, leaves are flying, pelting rain ...
we are being side swiped by a major weathersystem that come up from the u.s. and has caused much damage in its way. weather service advises to watch out for damaging winds in excess of 100 km/h.
this morning it was just beautiful, 16 C, sunny and a nice breeze blowing across lake ontario. we were walking along the lake and could see the stormclouds gathering. now (4 pm) it's quite dark, had to turn the lights on, and there were some rather loud thunderboomers . about 20 mm of rain expected. hbg

Quite calm on this thread
The snow chaos some weeks ago didn't hit our place at all - but started 10 miles away from us.
We had had some rather mild days until now: stormy, rainy, snowy forecasted for the weekend.
Interesting photo in an English newspaper today:

Maybe its the moon. Tonight in England, for the first time in 18 years, the moon will be higher in the sky at midnight than the sun was at 12 noon today. Though you should know this.

Actually, it has been snowing all day in the Golden Horseshoe and started to come down harder about 4 or 5 PM. We are expecting 30 cm or better.
I should have gotten the new spark plug for the snowblower. Oh, well.... I have 3 old ones to pick from. I hope they work! :-o

Here in the City of Brotherly Beans the forecast is for snow, sleet and freezing rain all day tomorrow. The temps have been in the minus category all week. And, like the damnfool that I am, I asked for tomorrow off from work to take care of some personal matters during normal business hours. Ah, well.
