Our first experience, so far this year, of anything vaguely resembling cold weather in Melbourne, Oz. And the reaction is not good! Brrrrrrrrrrrr
Today the temperature is predicted to reach only 15 C degrees! (Don't laugh at us, you folk in the northerm hemisphere, valiantly waiting for some warm spring weather!) Looks like our Indian summer (though not the drought, sadly!) might finally have come to an end. But maybe not!
Sunshine all over the place
Low 90's today, and first time in the pool, it was almost like a bath tub ... nice!
Rainy and getting cold here again today - that's not why we get new radiators just now
Today's high was 95.9 F. The current temperature is 81.1 ( 6:45 pm).
We are getting ready for a thunderstorm- tomorrow we will be back in the upper 60's.
What a pity.
72 degrees F
Clear skies and an absolutely gorgeous start to summer.
Sorry Aussies, I know you are headed into the cold.

Highest temperature today was 12° Celcius - the new radiators work fine

Nice cats, Misti, they are very cute.
The weather here is not very special, but it's early yet. I haven't really looked out of the window yet.
My roses (floribunda) should be out this weekend.
I believe we are due a high-pressure system over the next two days, so we should warm up here considerably.
After a lot of rain over the past couple of days, we got 8 hours sunshine today.
But it's getting cloudy now again, and temperatures are as low as 18°C.
Which, however, is even much better than the weather in that part of Austria, where mother-in-law is staying now, visiting with sisters-in-law and their families:
snowy, rainy and temperatures between -2° and +5°.
(That's in Steyria, the native state of a famous body builder and US-govenor  )
That's amazing for Austria in June.
Maybe the glaciers will start to grow again.
Here, lovely, warm, sunny weather....perfect (at last)
UhOh:
Tropical Storm Arlene Forms in Caribbean By JENNIFER KAY, Associated Press Writer
4 minutes ago
MIAMI - Tropical Storm Arlene developed Thursday in the northwest Caribbean Sea, edging closer to western Cuba as the Atlantic hurricane season's first named storm. Gulf Coast residents, including those in storm-battered Florida, were warned to beware.
Sheeeeeeeeze!
Shiver- still cold in Austria. Vienna 13C/ 57F
Not uncommon though- this period of cold days in the beginning of June has even a name: Schafskälte / sheep cold.
Letty, Uh OH indeed.
Sheep cold, before we had the icemen - my theory: summer this year happened on those hot cou´ple of days some weeks ago
For once I hope you are not right.
Anyway, I will go on holidays to a warm place- just hope that the hurricanes will not arrive.
johnboy notes, with no small degree of trepidation, that the Atlantic hurricane season is starting again. Arlene doesn't look too threatening.
Here in Virginia, we usually get the remnants of hurricanes. Our big threat comes from thunderstorms that come in mid summer and take down power lines and zap computers and cause flash flooding. We had our first one of the season tonight. June 9th. I live on the east side of a ridge. That was a wicked storm, sending out a small army of lightning and thunder and rain and then, just when we thought it was nothing, the storm came over in full force, pounding us with rain this evening, The lightning and thunder was amazing to watch and listen to.
There is a fire and rescue squad about a half mile from my house. And I kept hearing the sirens of the crews going out, responding to calls for help.
Johnboy unplugged everything. Surge protectors sometimes don't work. And johnboy watched the storm roll over him. The streaks of lightning sometimes accompanied by the simultaneous slams of thunder and the driving rain. God, did it rain today in Virginia.
