Sunshine and summer temperatures! Of course that went a bit too fast from freezing to sweating!

Whatever, I will go for a walk now :-)

From: At the Drop of a Hat by Michael Flanders and Donald Swann:

Both: January brings the snow,
Makes your feet and fingers glow.

February's ice and sleet,
Freeze the toes right off your feet.

Welcome, March, with wint'ry wind,
Would thou weren't not so unkind.

April brings the sweet spring showers,
On and on for hours and hours.

Farmers fear unkindly May,
Frost by night and hail by day.

June just rains and never stops,
Thirty days and spoils the crops.

In July the sun is hot,
Flanders: Is it shining?
Swann: No it's not!

Both: August, cold and dank and wet,
Brings more rain than any yet.

Bleak September's mist and mud,
Is enough to chill the blood.

Then October adds a gale,
Wind and slush and rain and hail.

Dark November brings the fog,
Should not do it to a dog.

Freezing wet December, then...
Both: Bloody January again!

Both: (January brings the snow),
(Makes your feet and fingers glow!)

eastern lake ontario : it's been rather cool and rainy the last week, highs of anywhere from 6 to 15 C, overnight should be just below freezing. from thursday on there should be a warming trend. grass is growing like crazy with all the rain we've had, should start cutting it soon. bailey and cleo (ehbeth's dogs) are visiting and require our full and undevided attention - lots of walks by the lake.
one of the benefits of all the rain has been an increase in the waater level of lake ontario. during the last three years there was quite some worry about falling water-levels in the lake; it seems that mother nature has taken action to remedy the situation. hbg

After the lovely weather in London during the meeting there, we got bad weather (rain, thunderstorms) here in Germany.

Hopefully, it will change from tomorrow/Friday onwards (that's, when A2K'ers meet here at my place).

Had had a very - but nice - day with the A2K'ers out in Münster.

Seems, the weather ('rainy, with SOME sunny intervalls') will stay the next couple of days.

eastern lake ontario, 8pm : still 22 C. we had a very nice week, lawns are lush and green, flowerbuds are popping. we had cleo and bailey (ehbeth's doggies) with us for the last two weeks, and every morning we took a walk through city park and along lake ontario for an hour, usually followed by another walk in the afternoon - everybody slept well after all the fresh air. ehbeth arrived on friday and she's gone back to hogtown with her dogs. it's going to be a little quiet for a while. hbg

We are supposed to get better and warmer weather (rainy, with some sunny periods, not warmer than 13°C) exactly from Wednesday onwards: that's, when the last two from the meeting (Diane and dys) will leave.

<Next time, I'll have to pay more bribe to the weather office!>

eastern lake ontario : just wonderful weather, around 20 C, sunshine, a light breeze ! (eat your heart out , walter - well, not really). i'm sure you'll get plenty of sunshine. we've been waiting for some time for decent weather. it seems that once we can turn off the heating system, we can turn on the air-conditioner shortly thereafter, or as mrs h's sister in hamburg says : "etwas schwitzen schadet doch nicht" (e : " a little sweating won't hurt you"). hbg
