-2 when I came out of the hair salon. Unzipped my down jacket, put my mittens in the pockets and went for a walk down the Danforth to pick up some dog treats. Funny how tropical it felt.

The Danforth is part of the main east-west drag through Toronto. It's also a synonym for Greektown for people who know the city.
Kinda famous in the international Greek community for a huge food festival each August. I can smell the souvlaki grilling from here.

Snowing pretty hard in the mountains of Virginia right now. NPR found it newsworthy this morning to include in a newscast that we, and western NC, may get as much as 4 inches. "Four measly inches," you yankees snort derisively. Yep, four inches of sleet and ice. I wish it was colder than our 27 degrees.
Fortunately we don't have to go anywhere so we should be fine, as long as the power stays on.
Nice here in Boston, too. Sunny all day and temps actually made it above the freezing mark -- somewhere around 33 or 34 F. That's a heat wave hereabouts in January. Some of the snow is melting, too.

MA, hope the nice weather keeps up for you.
Today in Florida was windy, sunny and a little cooler than yesterday, but the forecast for the week is promising.

It is snowing in Hechingen. Fortunately, it is not very cold so the roads are only wet. Of course, this probably means they will be really slippery tonight.
I don't like winter!

Damp and foggy this morning, then gradually the sun came out and the day turned out gorgeous.
Wish I had something different to report, but Florida weather is mostly boring:)

Gorgeous cool sunshiny day today.
A bit foggy tonight, but that's what happens when it goes to just above freezing when there's snow on the ground.

In Austria, they got in some parts up to 3 m snow from Wednesday to Thursday. Some thousands are isolated - we can't get contact to both my sisters-in-law, since the villages, they live in (some 10 miles apart) are both isolated due to avalanches.
Here, it has rained a bit and now is getting better: street - 'Karneval' [ mardi gras] since yesterday.

Oh really? Carnival, that's nice.
I've given up eating for Lent.
Here, was drizzly, now getting colder for the weekend.
