MVP
AL: Papi, though I think they'll give it to A-Rod
NL: I'll second Andruw Jones
Cy Young
AL: Mariano Rivera (hey, what the heck)
NL: I'll get on the Willis bandwagon
Hey fbaezer, I just picked everything you did. <cue Twilight Zone music>
See, Region Philbis... pure knowledge at home!
I'd like to see Konerko get some consideration...But because baseball has become strictly New York and Boston, it'll probably be A-Rod because some people think having a HUGE handicap in the field lessens ones value.
NL will be Pujols, he could have 2 or 3 now if not for Bondsy.
Al Cy will be Colon, he was most consistent and dominating
NL Cy will be Carpenter, his numbers end to end are obscene.

I would have to agree with that. I wish the Atlanta Braves were the representatives of the MLB. Don't get me wrong, the yankees and the Red Sox are great, but what the braves do with thier rookies year in and year out is commendable, and should be the goal of all ball clubs.
Well hopefully New York gets knocked out too, and there's no Boston or New York in the playoffs.
Go Houston.
I'm rootin' for the White Sox to win it all.
Can Papi win after the Sox tanked?
I think he still could, but let's say the Sox go all the way and are led by Konerko strongly with some big hits and thigns like that, then you could see a surprise possibly.
I think he will still win it, but we'll see.
They don't vote based on playoffs...only regular season. So the fact the Sox "tanked" shouldn't have an effect.

You mean the votes are already in and there's no subliminal bias?
i don't think they do the voting until just before the winners are announced... they're supposed to vote based on the regular season... but how could playoff performance NOT factor into the process?
Panzade is right, subliminal bias is sure to insue. I know that I'll be more inclinced to vote for someone who advanced further if they led thier team and showed they deserved it more, even if they proved it in the post-season.
Bartolo Colon won the AL CY today...
carpenter won the NL CY over willis by a nose:
I'm 2 for 2 so far with my award predictions, but what's new right?
I'm pulling for Andruw for NL MVP, but I know it's gonna by Pujols...
A-rod over Beeg Poppy (331 to 307) for the AL MVP...
Do you guys really think he was "robbed?"
He only beat Gay-Rod in RBI's(I think), but granted his numbers of how many times he put the Sox ahead was pretty huge.
