Seattle is collectively batting .226
they also have a -48 run differential...

how did they manage to win 89 games?

@fbaezer,

i glanced at their game log and quite a few lopsided losses jumped out, including a 16-1 shellacking by the Padres.

when they lost, they often did so in spectacular fashion...

@fbaezer,
Quote:
NL-ROY
1. Jonathan India
2. Trevor Rogers
3. Ian Anderson

AL-ROY
1. Randy Arozarena
2. Luis García
3. Ryan Mountcastle

(I believe both Arozarena and Mountcastle still qualify. Same with Anderson)
👍 👍

@Region Philbis,
This year we were not that accurate.
The voters were wrong, one has to suppose. 🤷🏻‍♂️

@fbaezer,

OK, here goes nothin'...

AL MVP ..... Aaron Judge .......... (Ohtani a distant second)
AL CY ..... Framber Valdez .......... (teammate Verlander a close second)

NL MVP ..... Paul Goldschmidt .......... (better year than Freeman)
NL CY ..... Sandy Alcantara .......... (Julio Urias a close second)

wouldn't mind seeing Wacha (11-1, 2.61 ERA) get a couple AL CY votes...

@Region Philbis,
Time has come.

I'll predict, but also tell my opinion.

AL MVP
1. Aaron Judge
2. Shohei Ohtani
3. José Ramírez

In all due justice, I don't think Ohtani should get ANY first place votes, but he will.

AL Cy Young
1. Justin Verlander
2. Dylan Cease
3. Framber Valdez

I think Region has a point with Valdez and his string of quality outings

AL ROY
1. Julio Rodríguez
2. Adley Rutschman
3. Vinny Pasquantino

NL MVP
1. Paul Goldschmidt
2. Freddie Freeman
3. Nolan Arenado

NL Cy Young
1. Sandy Alcántara
2. Julio Urías
3. Max Fried

I think Urías deserves the Cy Young, but maybe I'm biased.

NL ROY
1. Michael Harris
2. Spencer Strider
3. Brandon Donovan

Just because Joey Meneses didn't have enough time.

@fbaezer,

pitching will be the reason Ohtani gets those votes.
he had a no-no through 7-2/3 last night...

Freeman has closed the gap a bit since i posted my picks...

@Region Philbis,
Ohtani is the rare complete baseball player (I suppose he also can field).
That is awesome in the full sense of the word.
But we’re talking MVP, here.
The NYY without Judge would not be division champs.
The LAA without Ohtani would be just a litlle more inconsequential,
