Plea for Peer Group Encouragement:

My NYC jaunt is a week from Friday and I've been neglecting my exercises.

The less I huff and puff and sweat in the Big Apple, the more fun the Big Apple will be.

Please, will a vigorous cheering section assemble and banish my sloth.
In this Highly Selective Pep Club, vigor is probably more inspiring than charitable sweet thoughts.

Realizing that her New York trip is only a week away, Noddy closes her eyes and begins to concentrate. The gentle humming noise is the confidence she is exuding.

The theme song from "Rocky" comes on and the exercise begins in earnest.

Soz--

Your suffragette not only inspired exercise, she beamed with approval as I arranged for someone else to Bell and Cat.

Thomas--

I was tempted to skip my Balance Exercises, but I couldn't default in front of you and all your friends.

Gus--

You caught my Air of Martyrdom.

Dorothy Parker--

Martyrs don't have Nether Regions.

EhBeth--

Such magnificent distain.

George--

I'm giddyin', I'm gettin', I'm sweatin'.

Thanks all. Twenty minutes down, forty minutes to go.

Then I'll do it all over tomorrow.

Remember, your body needs protein.

Explore this site: www.CaloriesPerHour.com It is more interesting than those nutrition classes in school.

In general, chicken, turkey and fish have less fat than beef, lamb or pork.

One other reason I like focusing on exercise rather than food is that I seem to get cravings, after exercise, that are right on the money.

Tuna fish (just plain) has really hit the spot, and lots of fruit.

Remember a serving of meat is four ounces--a slice of meat about the size of a deck of playing cards.

Here's a list of caloric values for different meats.

A portion of chicken, turkey, fish, beef, lamb, pork or buffalo should be the size of a deck of playing cards.

Visit the site and scroll down for caloric values of different meats cooked different ways.

Are you sure you mean the sword-dancing website, Noddy? I scrolled and didn't see anything but some interesting pictures (holding a sword with your hip/belly can't be comfortable.)
