Hi Walter, 14 miles/day on the bike is great.

So is running 4 miles Thomas and Soz.

Today is still going well, hopefully I'll get a couple days behind me and wont have to think about it so much. If only I didn't enjoy food so much....

Novice belly-dancer checking in.

I'm not quite ready to re-check the scales. I'm confident that I haven't regained any of the weight I lost earlier this year - and now, things are firming up a bit. Not so much loose junk following me around

An hour and a half class once a week, and 20 - 30 minutes of practice each day, on top on my regular daily walks. Things are moving, or not moving/jiggling, nicely.

Somewhere on A2K, I read about someone doing light weight work that they wanted to get back to. hmmmmmm. I looked around, found 2 1-pound cans of salmon and have started doing various flies and stuff (I really need to get back into the right terminology). I'm up to 3 sets of 20 reps on http://www.americancheerleader.com/images/4_04/PT3_reverseFlies.jpg
reverse flies.

Some days those flies are a bit much, but overall - improvement.

I'm trying to get back into something like this and getting back to the 5-pound weights that are just taking up space in the house right now.

my rotator cuff is shot, too. aparently a bad habit i brought from my old boxing club. I twist my shoulder when i punch heavy bag and hurt it quite bad about 3 weeks ago now. still hurts like hell especially when i have to throw medicine ball or do pushups.
fell off a diet wagon this weekend, but i kept at working out. my legs are starting to look like my legs again, even if the weight does not budge on the scale. it's all that fat to muscle transition, better be.

Glad you too fell off the food trolley, D! My so kind students brought me sweetmeats from Genoa to die for and a Toblerone the size of a doorstep.... hard to resist knowing they are lurking in the cupboard! So I haven't resisted much. Will give them the Toblerone for dessert tonight though.

Have to wait till this afternoon before I weigh in - I deliberately got rid of my scales because they were a constant reproach.

Have you had the r-cuff looked at?
(Yeah, I know you've had most of you looked at lately, but I mean by a doctor.)

no. i'm thinking, as it soon will be a month, it just may be about time, ay? it's been injured in a bad way before, also left it untreated then... it went away. it's one obnoxious sucker.

eating "Luxury wafers, with delicious chocolate créme filling" (not just cream, it's créme) - which means i'll have to go to the gym tonight. ugh. and i'm so tired... waaaaah.

Typical! I bust out and have loads of chocolate and sweets and next day I'm 2 lbs lighter. There should be a chocolate diet for people like me... or is it really all those days before, of eating apples and salad?

oh no. just keep eating, clary! i have a big fat ole mean training ahead - which i'm leading -for next three days. haven't slept more than 5 hours for weeks, and am running on caffeine and sugar mostly. when i get the caffeine jitters and start feeling weird and queasy, i eat something other than sugar.... not very sensible, but it's hard to remember to eat when one has to train people with far far far more experience than oneself's and is scared shiteless. though perhaps that means i won't gain much either... i really can't tell at this point. i just want it to be monday.

Right on, dagma the brave! I have faith that you'll not only be a success in the training but lose 4 lbs with the worry and the caffeine! Look forward to welcoming you back on Monday. I am now 172 lbs, it's like squeezing blood from a stone. But no stress! My Italian student, a skinny 17 year old boy, made pasta with delicious pesto from his Mamma last night - so that went STRAIGHT to the hips!

fell off the wagon.

ate a bunch of crap-ola that was goooooood

Ice cream, chocolate, sweet blueberry bread..
oh man .
The last few weeks have been sugar heaven.
Thanks to stress, everything sweet is wonderful. HA!

Working -me hinney off though.
I only have one day a week now that I dont work, and I am plugging away trying to learn photoshop and some photography tricks so i can sell myself as a child photographer as well.
So, I dont get to post alot lately..

but whats goin on in my britches...

Lost 3 lbs
Pants are falling off.. it is almost a crisis and I think I will HAVE to buy some new clothes.
Normally, when my pants get loose, they "re-fit" hehe , after they are washed.
This isnt happening anymore.
I think it is muscle tone that is building up due to the amount of work I have now taken on. Wich has steadily increased. Smile

But, im not trying to keep the weight off .
Im eating anything I want.. so, im having a lucky streak here.. Cool

Well done shewolfnm!!

I wore my new trainers whilst playing badminton last night. They were a bit uncomfrtable so Im glad i didnt immediately go for a run in them or it would have put me off.

Badminton is getting better for us, we are making an effort to get to the shuttle to hit it.
No idea if Ive lost weight but Im enjoying the sport.

Yeah, break those shoes in slowly, mg. Badminton's good, not so fast you can't heave yourself across the court to get the shuttle - unlike pingpong or tennis or Gawd help us squash! If you've never experienced water aerobics, you might find it just feels great - the huge advantage is you're practically weightless standing in the water.

Courage, mes braves!

Ha! I never do that. Under water, nothing shows! So when are you going to start a little running? (I'm sure you already know that the 20 paces walk, 20 paces run is the best to start with).
