A debilitating disease works well too.

On the whole, I'd rather jog.

Six days of rain have made me nuts.

I just entered a Five Mile Run. (Oct 30)

I hope I finish before they take the clock down and sweep up the water cups.

Just checking in.

Lost 0 pounds again.

Not gaining anymore though....

Shortly we'll be bring the weight set back to the house, I've always loved lifting, and I think this will jump start me plus add muscle to my upper body of course.

George, Joe--

Sweatmates forever! Evidently for some people exercise is addictive.

Chai Tea, Shewolf--

I am gaining--and the dark days of winter are just beginning.

This Indian Summer is a gift from the gods. Planting bulbs is a weight bearing exercise--and an anchor for hope.

Just doing what I've been doing. I am going to try going a bit faster..... fifteen minute miles are fine for fat-loss training but in a 9AM race you generally want to finish before sundown.

oh..... 212.1 this week.

Reminds me of something my friend Sanjay once said:
"Anyone who calls this Indian Summer has never been to Delhi in July."

George--

I think "Indian" summer refers to American Indians.

Joe--

Are you meeting the Visiting Firemen at the Frying Pan on Thursday at 4?

have you ever thought of small hand weights and leg weights?
You can wear those all day and build some muscle and burn more fat even when you are just washing dishes..

Shewolf--

I've been warned by a trainer that walking around in ankle weights is not good for ankles.

Aside from that, remember I'm still on crutches.

No. Unless you are still going to be there at 6:30pm.

Going to try to stick my head in a Lola's Saturday, but only for a minute, I've got to get up early for the race....

Much depends on the Thursday weather--and weather after sunset in October generally comes with wind. Flexibility is all.

Good luck on Sunday. I'm betting you'll finish in the middle of the pack--and come away with ambitions for Next Time.

Hold your dominion.

JoeNie - I'm taking your phone number along - we will call and pester you on Thursday - or tell you what warmer spot we've gone along to. I wanna admire the fine runner's physique you've been creating.

I was thinking of bringing along the pants I was wearing in April - just to prove the progress I've made. Decided against it. My hair looks bigger in comparison to the rest of me - that's the only real difference I see. I can feel the difference - but I'm not caught up on the visual yet.
