Oh, I get it. They make cheap Roku TVs in the hope of bleeding us dry to pay for "upgrades" on several fronts. Well, bite it, bucko. I'm taking what's free and blocking the rest.

A poster here thinks I accused him of racism. Not so. I just agreed with someone else that I don't approve racism and mentioned I had not read the first part of the thread. Oh well it can get sorted out later on.

I'm almost tempted to go back and read the whole thread. But not quite.

The person in question has started a load of threads about getting in trouble at work.

They seem to upset everybody wherever they go.

Their MO is start a new job, get incredibly clingy with their line manager, then get upset when they’re not treated like royalty and start insulting their co workers.

They then get suspended.

They’ve also started a thread on Africa in which they air their prejudices. According to them Africa is a country and its people are all hunter gatherers who live in mud huts.

Oh well. I won't give it any more thought.

I'm getting fed up with so many opinion pieces beginning, "Let me get this straight -"
Let me get this straight: Is it because they are too lazy to think up words?

After five years of living with me, my dog still shows unbelievable anxiety when we leave the house. He starts barking the instant we show signs of leaving and it escalates until we get in the truck to go. He sometimes nips me with his teeth at these times. But it's perfectly understandable. He spent his first three years with a family he almost certainly loved like family and they ditched him at the shelter for whatever reason. After I have him shut inside the inner gate I always pause to reassure him. At that stage he is already pretty calm.

That's very sad. Maybe he needs a buddy?

I got Gracie in 2011 when my husband was out of town. She was about 10. Her owners said they had found her on the side of a highway about 5 years earlier. I don't know why they were giving her up. She flung herself onto my lap (she's a border collie) so I had to take her. I felt guilty leaving her alone when I went to work or just out. So, a year later, I got a Beagle a young family couldn't take care of anymore. She was 7. The two dogs got along very well once it was established who was the alpha. A few years later, we got my MIL's dog when she went into a home. We had to put Gracie down in 2019 - she was 19. The other two are 16 and 17 and still wanting to go out. At least they have company when I have to leave.
