@Rebelofnj,
I don't follow memes. I do know that "We live in a society..." Joker meme was a popular meme.

Nothing. I am going to produce clean, kid-friendly cartoons and comics. Stuff anyone of any age can look at.

@JGoldman10,
Instead of moaning about what you can’t do, and complaining about pc snowflakes why don’t you actually put something online?

If you don’t do anything you can’t fail.

Then what are you worried about? You're complaining about censorship from "snowflakes" when that is unlikely to happen to you at all.

And complaints are not going to prevent you from working on your comic. Dave Sim has been called a misogynist since the 90s but that hasn't stopped him from working on his comics.

To further address Reb's question, a few people I know have described some of a characters I created as "racist". A lot of my characters are caricatures but they are not intended to negatively stereotype any group or groups of people in real life.

I am not creating negative racial and/or ethnic caricatures of people.

Some people have said my stuff is dated. Some said the type of humor I am going to depict is dated. They complained about my stuff being old-fashioned; they said it belongs in the '80s and '90s and in decades earlier than that. So what? I am making cartoons and comics that are throwbacks to old cartoons and comics, respectively. There IS a market for retro, throwbacky cartoons and comics.

I can still modernize them a bit.

@JGoldman10,
What do you want, to make your own comics how you want, or make comics people want to read?

You can’t have it both ways. Nobody is stopping you doing your comics, you’re complaining because “snowflakes” don’t want to read them.

There may well be another reason nobody wants to read your comics, one you can’t consider.

@izzythepush,
Okay. What do people want to see in comics and in animated cartoons? I am not using sex to sell my material and I am not including any LGBTQIA characters or any kind of LGBTQIA-related stuff in my cartoons and comics.

It is hard to tell how true those claims by other people are because we haven't anything from these projects. You keep talking about these works you are doing, but there is nothing to show for it. No art, no scripts, not even a title. I asked previously about showing a single line of dialogue, but you didn't have any.

No one is asking you to add that stuff if you don't want to.

Just post something.

@JGoldman10,
Nobody is telling you what to do.

All this false indignation is because you will never write comics for children not because of snowflakes or political correctness but because you will never get off your backside and do anything.

Sloth is one of the seven deadly sins.

FFS! You literally wrote an entire thread based on positive stereotypes. These traits can also be considered racist. Caricatures are often oversimplified depictions and can also (rightfully so) be considered racist.

Choose a bloody side already. You clearly don't understand nuance in storytelling.

And people are telling you (rightfully so) that this direction which you insist on taking ISN'T CHILD FRIENDLY. Go on. Waste years on creating this child unfriendly content. And as predictable as it is, you are not going to sell to many discerning parents or self-respecting children.

@tsarstepan,
How many people have seen his characters?

I don’t know any, but those that have think they’re racist.

What does that say.

@tsarstepan,
Speedy Gonzales has been dubbed a non-PC character because he was seen as a negative Mexican stereotype. That was a big reason classic Speedy cartoons haven't been shown on American TV in a long time.

They make a joke and reference to Speedy being non-PC here:

However the LATINO COMMUNITY LIKES HIM:

http://rptimes.com/rocky-point-times-2/2016/06/speedy-gonzales-relationship-with-the-hispanic-community/

Explain that.

Comedian "Mr. Fluffy" is voicing the character in Space Jam 2:

@JGoldman10,
I don't understand your point as a reply to mine. I could give a flipping rat's ass about Speedy. You still haven't responded on how caricatures (using alleged positive stereotypes) aren't racist.

1. I have no idea why you think I give another rat's ass about the Space Jam sequel or...
2. Why you think I'll give any legitimate credibility to Trump-supporting NYPost or Rupert Murdoch's turd-filled news.com.au?!

There's literally nothing in that post you responded to that implies cancel culture. I just wrote bluntly about your prospects in a possible family-friendly market. If no one buys your substandard work? That's not cancel culture. You've been poisoned too much by conservative garbage sources.

@tsarstepan,
It’s not cancel culture if it doesn’t exist, and it won’t.

Mr Goldman talks about his comics the way Trump talked about the 2020 election. Long before the election he rubbished it, blaming malign forces for his eventual defeat. With MrGoldman it’s worse than that, not only are snowflakes stopping anyone from reading his work, they’re stopping him producing it.

It reminds me of the episode of The Simpsons where Skinner goes looking for Bart and finds the one place he was sure he would be closed down years ago.

“Am I so out of touch?”

“No, it’s the children who are wrong.”

What does "Trump-supporting NYPost or Rupert Murdoch's news.com.au" as Tsar said, have to do with cartoons?

PLEASE EXPLAIN THIS TO ME. Do not try to insult my intelligence.
I DO NOT KNOW WHAT TSAR IS TALKING ABOUT AND/OR REFERRING TO.

That is a video from The Onion, which is not an actual news organization. It is a satirical website.

We talked about The Onion several times before, so you can't claim you didn't know about them.
