@livinglava,
I'm a Republican, I balk at the Republicans that didn't balk.

Even members of Donnie Two Scoops' own party balked. What's your point?

The point is that it's collective-conformity thinking to measure people's opinions in terms of how they align or not with others'

Classifying people into parties, races, genders, or whatever and then measuring validity by categorical-comparison is not only baseless, it reinforces the stereotyping assumption that identity groups aren't diverse groups of individuals.

I don't care whether you identify as Democrat or Republican, because you just spread lots of bad logic, assumptions, superficial memes that propagate hate and other negativity.

You claim to be Christian and that's good for you, because I think you have a lot in need of reform.

Why do you consistently devalue some's critical thought that is different from yours?

@livinglava,
My collective thinking:bad. Your collective thinking: good. Collective thinking on its own isn't bad. It all depends on what the collective is thinking. Tell your masters in Moscow this this "collective" BS ain't cutting it. You'll have to do better than that.

Validating someone else's critical thinking without critically evaluating it would be uncritical.

You are basically undermining the whole logic of applying critical thinking when you say that different people think critically in different ways.

You're turning critical thinking into something relative when relativism is exactly what critical thinking is supposed to cure.

Validating all 'critical thinking' as equally standpoint based is thus anti-critical.

You're being disingenuous, maybe unconsciously because you just don't understand things you say, e.g. because you don't think critically.

It doesn't matter how good or bad I do, because you are stuck on a superficial rhetorical level where you will never discuss in any depth what 'collective thinking' means. You'll just talk about it in a way that implies that you and the reader already understands the concept and thus avoids any kind of deep/critical discussion that would render any real understanding.

I can't 'judge' you. God judges. I just see what I see and say it. Should I lie about what I see because you don't know the difference between rebuke and judgment?

@neptuneblue,
I was going to reply to tell you I don't see what's in these big empty posts, but now I see you posted a youtube video.

You can better just type out whatever you mean to say with the video, because I don't want to watch your video . . . and posting videos/pics takes up thread space and wastes my scroll wheel.

By that you mean I don't care about your "collective" thought, you're right. I reject your claim to define everything and what we will discuss.

You want to discuss specifics as to why Dr Judy is wrong and how she impeaches herself as a believable "expert", I'll be glad not withstanding how mired you are in your groupthink bubble pile of manure.

Right. And then you go and judge again on what you presume is my relationship with G*d. I've criticized you and ribbed you and slammed you for many things. Not once ever on your faith or how it is comprised. I'd thank you for extending me the same courtesy if you are capable.

@neptuneblue,
Frankly she's full of it this morning. Her group think prevents her from thinking independently.

I look forward to your posts, even ones I'm not totally on board with because they are given in a community spirit and collegial mindfulness.

Excuse livinglava she's only capable of appreciating Trumpist collectivized thinking.

So I take it trump's gone off the idea of injecting disinfectant and has opted for hydroxychloroquine by way of pill?
(Ironically and incidentally my spell checker seems to think hydroxychloroquine is spelt wrong...)

Anyhow, the reason trump got elected wasn't because of his policies. It was because down to basically two reasons; enough people were disenchanted by the "establishment", and Hillary was very much a part of that same establishment. Whereas trump was a genuine outsider who happens to speak his mind (right, wrong or indifferent), who happened to pick the right timing and correctly sense the mood of the people and his biggest supporters. When you add all of that up, you get "populism", and if you think trump is oblivious to that, think again...

Trump's whole approach towards the Democrats and the mainstream media is a very deliberate tactic on his part. It essentially works like this: spread as many falsehoods and misinformation (with a tiny bit of truth mixed in), create as much fear of your enemy as possible, and then divide and conquer.

And when you mix "populism" with narcissism, you can hardly expect that to end well...

Unfortunately, and the reality is that, trump's most loyal supporters don't care, because now they have a very powerful voice, in the most powerful person in the world. They simply didn't have that with the "old guard", but do with trump.

Unfortunately the Democrats backed the wrong horse in 2016 and should have gone with Bernie Sanders instead. Why? Because like trump, he also was not a part of the "establishment" and was a genuine outsider. But unlike trump, he actually cares about more than just himself. Even when he was mayor of Burlington, Vermont both major parties backed the Democrat candidate he ran against, and he still won. He also balanced Burlington's city budget, which is something that isn't talked about very much at all, while describing himself as a "socialist" and being described as one by the media. And this was while opposing the city's waterfront being developed into expensive condominiums, hotels, offices, etc.

So it will be very interesting to see if the Democrats have made the same mistake again this time around. As it's going to be about the candidates themselves rather than their policies. The central factor will be the question of whether people have had enough of trump yet or not. It will be very interesting for all the wrong reasons to find out the answer to that.

It amazes me that some just can't see through the disinformation and misinformation...

PS: coldjoint, what's with the pink font?

Read the post I responded to. I just took her words, "lazy,' and 'cheap,' and applied them back to her so she could taste her own hurtful medicine.

Sometimes you can't explain to people what they do as easily as you can just let them experience it coming right back at them.

Of course you have to be careful, because sometimes you end up justifying something unfairly harsh in response to something less harsh.

Maybe that's what I did, since a 'cheap mind' is arguably a worse quality than a 'cheap internet connection,' but ultimately I just don't want to deal with petty bickering, and so if that's what she or you or anyone else is going to do, you deserve your own medicine.

See, there are people who start fights to cause deaths. This is an internet forum, so there's no physical killing involved; but if you just keep stoking conflict, you're going to turn the forum into a flame war and ruin it that way.

You are particularly annoying because you are so aggressive and you post so much image spam.
