That looks amazing

It’s 7.13 am and I only ended up with one meal yesterday. Now I’m hungry!!!!! And for comfort food. For me, that’s laksa or pho.

@Borat Sister,
I've never had a kugel involving potatoes. Will have to look that up. We only ever had noodle kugel from Hadassah bazaars.

@Borat Sister,
potatoes have more vitamin C than a Hersheys chocolate bar.

@Borat Sister,
A nice noodle kugel is healthy. Especially when it includes raisins and peaches.

(can also be made with gluten free egg noodles)

...and remember, kuglets can be made in a muffin tin...

@farmerman,
I’d have thought EVERYTHING had more vitamin C than a Hershey’s bar!

Not all starch. There's egg and onion.

@Roberta,
Onion is pretty starchy...that’s why it goes sweet when cooked for a long time. But you are right about the egg!

Also, my kugel recipe had milk powder.

@Sturgis,
I have type 2 diabetes. Flour based products, rice etc sends sugars up like an express lift for most of us.

Basmati is a little lower GI

Also, refrigerating starches like cooked rice, pasta and potatoes overnight lowers their GI. But they all turn to glucose in the end
