I'm going in (armed with bungee chords) after dropping oldest cub at work at 2. Will spend the day and pick cub up from work at 10, so won't be able to report back in until late tonight.
Called to cancel his gig tonight. Cancelled dental follow up appt. Called "back up" for Sunday gig, so may not lose that income. Called older kids and other family. Two cubs to drop off at friends, pick up meds for one, get whites done so we all have underwear again, somewhere in there we need food in the fridge that doesn't need my preperation... This is crazy! I just want to be at his side and can't seem to get there.
Bear called a few minutes ago. Drugged, but at least somewhat able to communicate. Doctor came in on rounds this morning and said it would be a couple of weeks!!! Bear asked if this could kill him, Doc said yes, but his labs look a little better today. MRI done. Looking to remove gallstone after a couple of weeks and then later the gallbladder.
Will have to get more details from nurse / Doc when I get there.
His only other concern so far has been "I don't have to have a catheter, right?"
Will let you know more tonight. Keep the good wishes and prayers coming.

Thank you so much for the updates. You must be incredibly tired. I wish I could magically whisk myself there to help out with the cubs so you could spend as much time as possible with the Bear. I'm really good at cleaning and cooking and laundry and organizing who needs to be where!
Another speedbump along life's highway won't keep you all down for too long, I'm sure. Give the sweet big Bear a good lick for me and lots of hugs to you and the cubs.
